2023 Remembrance Exhibit: Families in Arms

The City of Vaughan’s annual Remembrance Event reflects the City’s commitment to fostering active, safe and diverse communities that are inclusive, enhance well-being and honour those who have gone above and beyond. The theme for this year’s event is “Families in Arms” – a more holistic take on the “brother in arms” term traditionally given to soldiers during their service.

“Families in Arms” explores the impact of war on individual soldiers and those they left behind. Service in the war effort left behind a deep and lasting impression, influencing future decisions and resulting in a multi-generational legacy.
