Flying Officer Cameron McNeil, son of John Alexander and Rosella Catherine McNeil of Woodbridge, was a member of the Vellore Junior Farmers and went to high school in Weston and the Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph. Cameron served during the Second World War, along with his two brothers – C.A., who was with the navy, and Stanley, who also joined the RCAF.

Cameron went overseas in 1943, serving as a member of the Bomber Command. He was killed in action the following year and buried in Surrey, England; however, the cemetery at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Vaughan contains a marker for him.
