For those who enlisted, the war effort was a way to demonstrate familial and patriotic pride, especially if they had multiple family members serving, like the Pages.

 

After returning from the war and furthering the Page family’s prominence in agricultural science, Stewart Page wrote his university thesis in 1924 on the agricultural history of Vaughan.
