These plaques, once displayed in Vaughan’s old City Hall, list the Vaughan residents who lost their lives during the First World War and Second World War. Although these plaques name only a few of the residents who served during the two World Wars, we acknowledge and thank all who served in past conflicts and are engaged today, both at home and abroad.
The plaque reads: “1939-1945: Adams, George C, Bales, George E, Bales, Thomas L, Brownlee, John B, Dix, Walter, Ederle, Raymond F, Ezard, Howard R, Findlay, William J, Good, Ernest A, Gourlie D James, Hill, Charles, Kerswill James O, Maxey Wilfred R, McNeil Cameron L, Norton John E, Norton Joseph E, Sanford Norman E, Smith, James, Sparkes, Raymond R., Stapley, John, Thompson Louis, Wice, Russell.”
