These plaques, once displayed in Vaughan’s old City Hall, list the city’s residents who lost their lives during the First World War and Second World War. Although these plaques name only a few of the residents who served, we acknowledge and thank all who served in past conflicts and are engaged today, both at home and abroad.
The plaque reads: “1914-1918: Agar, M. J., Dowes, Edgar, Burgess, Frank, Cooper, Arthur, Cordery, Albert L., Coward, William, Evans, Fred, Fleming, Norman, Gardiner Mons W, Grady John J, Green T A, Houghton, G R, Howard, George, Jackes, F R, Keen, Edwin, Lendrum, Harry, Little, Reginald, McDonald, John, McGillivray Wm B, Nash, Charles, Philips, Roscoe, Racside, Robert, Robb Stanley D, Scott, Alfred, Scott, John, Ward, John W, Warrell, Stanley, Witherspoon, David.”
