I replaced the missing leg with the wooden one. The jig with the pieces cut out took the bulk of the time. Sawing the edges to make the octagonal end was easy.
Step 5: Add glue to the frame then center the cone in the magnet. It's not difficult to center the cone, it just takes a little patience. When centered, press the foam to frame. Let the glue dry and you're all done.

A custom written Replace function - bit of a waste of time considering there is a perfectly good one in the .Net Framework.
This model is a HO Scale Life Like Proto BL2 lettered for Boston and Maine, road #1552. The unit houses a TCS decoder and Kadee #5 couplers installed front and back. The exhaust stacks were replaced with brass tubing and Details West Radiator fan covers were installed over the front and rear fans. A MBE firecracker antenna was installed on the cab roof. The underframe and trucks are painted and weathered a grimy black. These were non MU units.
