Replaced by £4.1m raised highway & widened bridge to allow better access to an increasingly profitable industrial estate on the old Dalton airfield, this bridge is due to be removed in the next few weeks.
Carefully replace the lid to line up with the bottom half.

These will probably be the last pictures of Dex for a month or so, I sold Natalie so she has to have her body back. I'll miss Nat but I know the girl I sold her to will take lotsa pictures of her so I'll get to see her still :D
With 47 seconds to go in the second a glass pane had to replaced. Perhaps the ref didn't know that Zam Man and crew usually can do change one pane in under two minutes, because the ref called for the intermission and the 47 seconds would be played after the intermission.
We replaced the Flush Valve for a testy toilet today. Great family project, right?
The toilet repair was too easy. Sagan had to up the difficulty level for Ryan.

The road surface was replaced in our neighborhood area during the pandemic COVID-19. This is what I saw them doing. A deposed truck drove in front of the road breaker truck. The road breaker truck crushed the old asphalt surface, and suck it through a channel dropping it to the deposed truck. A shovel track cleared up all debris. A sweeping truck made groves on the road.
The roller truck pressed down and leveling the surface. An asphalt pavers truck was laying asphalt on the road. After all, we have a new surface road.
Asphalt is obtained either as a residue from the distillation of petroleum or from natural deposits. The use of asphalt is very old, dating back to its use as a water stop between brick walls of a reservoir at Mohenjo-Daro (about the 3rd millennium BC) in Pakistan. In the Middle East it was extensively used for paving roads and sealing waterworks, important applications
Note to self: Always plan to replace fasteners on cars that you let out of your sight, not even talking about cars you bought used or let the dealership fix
Replaced the chrome plated plastic wheels from the kit with beautiful aluminum wheels with a black center hub.
I replaced the original Scalextric motor with a lower-rpm BWA unit. You can see it here, painted matte black; when I lowered the body and interior, the transmission tunnel was sacrificed, so the motor takes its place. Modified spares box pieces close off the new 'tunnel' at each end of the motor. I made the hood bulge from a small aircraft model drop tank.
This girl is also celebrating the return of tap water at home.

Replacing a large detached Edwardian villa called Chale House, that had been converted to flats in later years.

Here's with the engine cover on. You can also see the mounting point for the pillion handrail. Now imagine a U shaped frame that runs from the handrail mount, down one side across the bike and then up to the mount on the other side. Then attach seat rails with ratchet adjustment. Then attach the seat back to this. Add a new seat base wheer the engine cover is. The final trick is to find a way of covering the luggage area and building up a top box and streamlining behind the seat back.
