*perfectly flawed* ~ song lyrics by otep
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej4uAtX7SCE
If you do this
If you do this
If you do this you’ll never have a chance to try again
If you do this you’ll never have a chance to try
It’s the same sound
The same sting
The same collapse
Of everything
It’s the same slice
Same blade
The same lie
Same old vein
My weight, my face
My height, my race
I’m a mistake
My weight, my face
My height, my race
I’m such a disgrace
You’re perfectly flawed
You’re perfectly incomplete
Like cracks in the glass
And faded photographs
You’re perfectly flawed
You’re perfectly incomplete
Let them condemn
Imperfections make you unique
Nothing left to lose,
Just try again
Nothing left to lose,
Just try again
It’s the same doubt
The same dream
It’s the same sabotage
`Cause I’m the enemy
It’s the same night
The same day
It’s the same parasites
Feedin’ on the betrayed
My weight, my face
My height, my race
I’m a mistake
My weight, my face
My height, my race
I’m such a disgrace
You’re perfectly flawed
You’re perfectly incomplete
A work in progress
Imperfections make you unique
A disguise of self deception
Hides my secrets perfectly
I’m rejecting my reflection
`Cause I hate the way it judges me
Don’t you do it,
You’re not even you yet
Don’t you do it,
You’re not even you yet
You’re perfectly flawed
You’re perfectly incomplete
Like cracks in the glass
And faded photographs
You’re perfectly flawed
You’re perfectly incomplete
A work in progress
Imperfections make you unique

Heavenly Cloud Reflection

A breathtaking lakeside scene captures nature's perfect symmetry as dramatic clouds create a celestial masterpiece above pristine waters. Powerful sunbeams pierce through towering cumulus formations, casting golden light across the sky in radial patterns. The lake's mirror-like surface creates a flawless reflection, doubling the visual impact of the spectacular cloud formations. Dense evergreen forests form dark silhouettes along both shorelines, framing this natural theater. The interplay between light and shadow transforms ordinary clouds into sculptural elements, with brilliant white highlights contrasting against deep blue atmospheric depths. This moment represents the magical transition between day and evening, when nature orchestrates its most dramatic displays. The composition demonstrates perfect balance - earth, water, and sky harmoniously united in a single frame that speaks to the sublime beauty of untouched wilderness landscapes.

We have had a lot of rain in Maple Ridge recently but last week the rain stopped for two days. I took advantage of the dry days and got out for some walks and photos of some great fall sunsets.

Evening light at Skógafoss, south Iceland.
Skógafoss is a spectacular waterfall situated in the south of Iceland at the cliffs of the former coastline. After the coastline had receded into the sea (it is now at a distance of about 5 km from Skógafoss), the cliffs stayed behind parallel to the coast over hundreds of kilometers, creating together with some mountains, a clear border between the Lowlands and the Highlands of Iceland.
With a width of 25 metres and a drop of 60 metres Skógafoss is one of the most impressive and beautiful waterfall of Iceland.

The Wonders of GOĐALAND: waterfalls, volcanoes, cliffs, glaciers...
Today was a double whammy sunrise and sunset combo. The mid station at heavenly treated me very nicely.
Concordia is the name given to the meeting point of the Baltoro, Upper Baltoro and Godwin-Austin Glaciers, and is considered by many to be amongst the most spectacular mountain environment on earth.

This was taken at the Franciscan monestary in Brookland. This light refraction was not intentional. Eerie! Huh?
A very calm body of water reflects the velvety green landscape near Tachika (Si Qu), Sichuan China. The image of two hands pressed together in prayer didn't occur to me at the time I was taking this photo. I was merely mesmerized by the mirror like quality of the lake. Taken on a whim out of a moving van; another lucky shot.
Bohemian National Cemetery also is home to the
Animal Cremation Society of Chicagoland. I found this very touching as I approached the cemetery gates.
A somber Furry Friday. And this is very apropos as today is the last day of my vacation and it’s been heavenly. Why don’t work weeks go this quickly?
An oldie but goodie from a series I shot last summer. I have no idea why I didn't post this. Please take a moment to view in fullscreen.
