The Sundance peaks rising above one of the Vermillion lakes on a moody autumn morning.

The azaleas are in full bloom now, and I wanted to fill the frame with a multitude of these beautiful flowers.
The frame is from Photoshop.

Sun rays filtering through the clouds greet brown pelicans on their way home to roost.
Many thanks for your visits dear friends. Happy Friday the 13th!
Mosques are very common in Istanbul, but this one is unique; Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque. It has a very modern & beautiful design.
It was photographed from the center worship hall laying on my back looking straight up. While I was shooting at 12 mm, it still needed more to capture the full view, so I had to hand shoot five shots and then stitched them together.

The monastery complex of Meteora, Greece, sits thousands of feet above the ground, making it one of the most remote places to live and worship in the world.
While 30 monasteries were built over the centuries, today only six remain active.
Please press "L" and zoom to appreciate the beauty.

on a Sunday morning!! Taken last weekend when my husband and I were coming back from Grand Lake, Colorado. We drove over the famous Trail Ridge Road and this is one of many breathtaking views! The haze is due to the wildfires in California mostly. We've had really poor air quality this Summer. It does make for some pretty sunrises and sunsets. Thank you my friends!
Tis truly a spiritual feeling when one experiences Maligne Lake's Spirit Island. So serene, stunning and inspirational. Easy to see why this special scene is so revered.
Thanks for taking a look! Always appreciated.
Enjoy your Sunday!
I recently returned from a 2-week phototour of the Lofoten Islands, which are located north of the Arctic Circle in Norway. The highlight of the trip was our final night there, when we were finally blessed with a clear sky and an amazing showing of the northern lights (aurealis borealis).
Over the coming weeks I will post more photos from this spectacular trip.
