Another famous dish from Jaffna called "Sundankaai" (Turkey Berry) in Tamil. It has many other names such as Devil's Fig, Prickly Nightshade, Shoo-shoo Bush, Wild Eggplant and Pea Eggplant. It has some medicinal value as well. The dried ones are sold at Tamil medical stalls in Jaffna.
