Today I was challenged to style a look in thirty minutes with the theme of Heavenly Empress as my inspiration.Normally, I would nitpick and reevaluate a look for a couple of hours before being satisfied. Having the clock ticking added an unsusual thrilling element to the look that filled me with contradictory feelings of predatory vision but also nervousness as my hands shook and fear of it not coming together threatening to invade my focus.So I present to you, the Heavenly Empress,..my perspective of ethereal regality.

Cosmos atrosanguineus (Chocolate Cosmos) - I didn't believe it at first but it really smells like chocolate!!!
Formerly called Bidens atrosanguinea and comparatively unknown, Chocolate cosmos is a herbaceous perennial hailing from Mexico. Its lobed leaves and dark maroon flowers with velvety petals emerge from tubers that resemble fingerling potatoes. Attractive to butterflies, the blooms appear from June through September, broadcasting a beguiling chocolaty scent late in the day. Despite the alluring scent, no part of the plant should be ingested.

Wave of India Ocean always attacks east Bali beach. Sky was clear and I could view beautiful sunset almost every day. From south Kuta beach, it's good place to view sunset beside not in front and able to view confronting wave lines in perspective.. Pink reflection was sparkling all over. The man sat on surf swaying gentle with small waves cherish beautiful sunset. This heavenly scene just brought me out of this world for a while

Teal and purple macaron cookies sandwich a white chocolate coconut infused ganache with a tart raspberry center and sprinkled with toasted coconut. These are heavenly!
The lego troll problem down on earth has angered the gods so the send heavenly warriors to deal with them. The heavenly warriors are the perfect match for the trolls with their super fast reflexes and above human strength. The trolls have conquered most of the coastal regions and moved inland other nations are besieged by them. in this case the gods send help for the helpless.

The freshly-risen Sun puts on a brilliant display over Little Pond as it sears through lingering mist that clings to the lush wetlands.
Against all odds, I managed to capture this luminous, high-contrast scene in a single exposure using a polarizer and soft-graduated neutral density filter.

Tianchi is an alpine lake in Xinjiang, Northwest China, The name (天池) literally means Heavenly Lake and can refer to several lakes in mainland China and Taiwan. It is an alpine drift lake shaped in the Quaternary Glacier period.
My wife made loads of gluten free cupcakes today so I nicked some for a bit pf photography fun.
I just couldn't bring myself to do a straight cupcake shot so out came my magic wand and my creative eye.
For the background I used a roll of blue poster paper attached to my background stands rolled down onto the kitchen table.
To light this heavenly object I combined natural window light and a bit of flashgun mastery.
Our kitchen window was to my camera right and I used my big silver reflector to my camera left to bounce light back and fill any shadows.
To help illuminate the snow (icing sugar) i used my Nikon SB600 to the camera left but slightly behind the cupcake and aimed just above as I didn't really need the flash to light the cupcake, it was purely for the icing sugar.
My flashgun was a bare flash and set to 70mm and at 1/16th power.
I zoomed the flash head to concentrate the beam of light as I didn't want a wide spread.
The flashgun was on a light stand and fired using my yongnuo RF602 trigger and receiver.
The cupcake was so light and fluffy it just floated in mid air for the shot.
My assistant (wifey) held a sieve with the icing sugar above the cake and made the snow effect when asked.
My camera was in full manual mode to control ambient and flash light.

The waxing crescent moon close by Jupiter and Saturn as they near the Great Conjunction which will occur on Monday evening 21 December. This will be the closest apparent encounter between the two planets for 397 years!! Photo taken during the blue hour as I was waiting for full dark - I was very pleased to have captured at least this one shot, because a minute later it clouded over and that was it for the night. Given that there will not be another close encounter like this until 2080, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime shot.
I was caught off guard but in the end was prepared enough to capture this image. Only spanning a 3-4 minute time during a long day, a beam of heavenly light brings an intimate moment to the lavishly beautiful Oneonta Gorge.
