ODC ~ Bed
Our dogs have a tendency to own the bed/couches/chairs/laps/whatever they think is comfy enough for them... What can we do??
New series I want to start with African American women, light to dark. I just want to bring out the beauty in every woman. Coming soon..
It looks like I'm right in the river itself at Minnowburn near Shaw's Bridge in Belfast.
The sun has lit up the autumn colours in the background on a very frosty morning.
One unwelcome addition is a sock which is hanging over a branch near the top of the shot.
Best viewed large on black.
Maybe it's the front. I called it an S-curve because it was easy, but I'd rather not see it as the actual letter S, because that's cheesy. It's the shape of an S, but not the letter itself, OK?

Smoldering - Chromatic Study (B&W): A technical exploration of color layering. Utilizing a red-gelled AD200 on a black panel for a moody background and yellow gels for a soft, golden fill, blending high-energy studio lighting with a candid, editorial presence.

This was a night shot taken at Canyon Creek Ranch as part of a 12 hour workshop put on by the Arizona Professional Photographers Association. As part of the workshop, actors/ models were there in period costumes. The actor in the doorway of the church is Greg Wildman who was in character as Milo, a member of the Clanton Maclaury gang.
This was taken after the sun had set, and we used long exposures (I was at 3 seconds) while one of the instructors did light painting on the exterior of the church using an LED flashlight, and a dim light inside the church provided the backlighting. I love the dramatic look of this, and having the model light up a cigarette to create smoke was brilliant on the part of the instructor.
Other images that I took during the day long workshop at Canyon Creek Ranch are in my Canyon Creek Ranch Album.

Confidence doesn’t whisper, it walks straight into the spotlight. This series captures strength wrapped in charm, blending athletic poise with a playful wink. Clean lighting, sculpted highlights, and a bold star motif create a modern pin-up energy with contemporary polish.

Some wonderful sidelighting this last Sunday afternoon at Sharpitor. This is the view looking towards Leather tor during what amounted to 5 minutes max of fantastic light just before sunset.
Domestic Reverie: Sinkside Sovereign: A clean, intimate portrait where gentle expression meets assertive lighting, giving the familiar kitchen setting a polished editorial charge.
The sky sets ablaze with intense shades of crimson and deep teal as twilight settles over the hills. Gentle silhouettes of wild wheat stalks reach upward, framing the dramatic gradients of the fading light. A quiet, contemplative moment captured in the stillness of dusk.

A striking image of a snake coiled around a tree branch, captured in dramatic lighting. The intricate patterns on the snake's scales are highlighted, showcasing the beauty and complexity of this reptile. The contrast between the dark, textured bark and the smooth, patterned skin of the snake creates a visually captivating scene.

The walkway leading to the entrance to the Eden Project.
I used the Dramatic Light filter in onOne Perfect B&W for most of the image, but used Perfect Layers to mask out the woman’s head, and applied a bit of extra detail and desaturation to her hair in the Enhance module.
Pink Hex: Caught in the Glow - Fog, gels, and controlled light wrap the frame in color, but the real pull is in the pause. A moment caught mid-thought, where atmosphere and emotion meet without needing to compete.
April 3. My sister is always game for some awesome and funky dance moves. I got a new 430ex ii today in exchange for my Promaster 7500edf which I'm very happy about. It wasn't doing what I wanted / what I thought it was supposed to do so the awesome people at Dan's Camera City in Allentown, PA let me return it for marginally less than the price I paid for it. They always give me the best customer service when I go there.
Alternate photo which I had a hard time choosing between.
