Pro52 Pro Assignment 8: Create the back and front cover for a string quartet cd. Must convey something about a string quartet and something about the music.
Of the three example movements we were given, two had an eclectic, almost free form jazz feel and one sounded more like the traditional sound most people would associate with strings.
I gravitated towards the latter movement to use as the covers. I wanted the covers to be unified with the front using a playing composition and the back looking like playing was over and the musician had just put the viloin down. I knew too, I wanted to isolate the subjects visually by using a lighting which focused the light and had a quick falloff so all the viewer sees is the subject, yet with enough information to quickly recognize what the subject is doing. Like the music, I used B&W for it's timeless beauty, it's ability to evoke a mood and to isolate the subject quickly without distractions.
Strobist: Both images use a speedlight @1/4 with a Stofen dome, in a 24" softbox directly overhead about 12"-16" from subject with a scrim between to soften the light and shadows even more. A fill card was used at camera right & left position in the left panel violin. No additional fills were used in the right panel.
Evening fog blankets the field,

Taken on a moody evening in Jeju —when light fades, and mystery begins.

Day 27 of 365 – P90X EXTREME HOME FITNESS
Are you ready for an EXTREME HOME WORKOUT?! If so, you need P90X! The first time I tried this routine I managed to make it to day 46 before it fell to the way side. Now I’m back for round two. I figured that since I’m currently at home unemployed; I might as well be productive right?! P90X here I come! Even though I only managed to make it half way through the first time around, I will attest that this product works.
Hahaha….I can see myself as one of the “REAL LIFE” people on the infomercial. Funny thing is…..I really am one of those “REAL LIFE” people, and it REALLY does work. Honestly it’s like any other work out regiment from the standpoint that if you follow it as designed and you stick to it; you’ll see results.
Rule 1: Set your (realistic) goals so you have something to shoot for.
Rule 2: Measure your status regularly for proof of progress (or digression)
Rule 3: Push yourself up to and past your limits (it’s amazing what the body can do.
Rule 4: Eat healthy…most of the time
Rule 5: Stay motivated. (without motivation we’re all doomed to fail)
Rule 6: Don’t cheat yourself. You WON’T prosper!

In an old attic, a forgotten box of marbles and gacha capsule toys sat undisturbed for decades. Once cherished by a child who grew up and moved on, they remained as silent witnesses to the past. Now rediscovered, their glossy surfaces reflect distant memories, bridging the gap between nostalgia and the present.
Una figura detenida entre la luz y la sombra, donde el reflejo deja de ser copia y se convierte en presencia.
A striking black and white portrait of a lion, capturing the raw power and nobility of the king of the savanna. The dramatic contrast and deep tones enhance the intensity of his gaze, while the fine details of his mane give a timeless, cinematic feel. Inspired by the iconic black & white photography style, this image embodies strength, elegance, and mystery.
The Dublin pilot " Camac " chases the container ship MSC Edith out of port.
MSC Edith is now nearing the end of her career, having been launched in 1998 & originally called a jazzy name NORASIA SAMANTHA, by 2016 on charter to Eucon shipping on the busy Antwerp-Dublin container run.

"Breather of Life" - Bird People Series
The first glimpse at the first rumblings of our new side-project/company/whatever you want to label it: Alchemy in Imagery. This new venture will eventually have a life of it's own outside the LZP umbrella, but for now, while it gets its footing, LZP is being kind enough to let it rent it's space out too!!!
This image is the first of the Bird People series... this character is the "Breather of Life"... you'll be seeing more of her too.
She is the Mother of the Phoenix, whose gift is to breathe life into all her children. The Phoenix has the ability to resurrect; the bird dies in a self-created fire, burning into a pile of ashes. A phoenix chick is then born when she breathes into the pile. Some birds can live to over a thousand years!
