Sometimes the loudest voices are the ones that go unheard. This image peers through the veil of darkness into a fleeting moment of exposure—raw, unguarded, and deeply human. A hand lifts, not to shield, but to reveal the weight of emotion too heavy to speak. The eye, sharpened by shadow, carries a quiet defiance, a story too layered for words. This is not a portrait of a person—it is a portrait of presence, of survival, of something felt more than seen.
This was in my opinion the best sunset of the summer in South Florida. Had a few images left over
so I thought I'd add them here...before the Winter season. Thanks for looking ~ Florida Everglades
As the sun sinks behind the hills, Sheffield glows in a wash of amber light. The evening haze softens the skyline while the last rays catch the edges of the city’s towers, turning glass and steel into silhouettes against the fading sky. For a brief moment, the Steel City feels quiet and warm beneath the setting sun.
One of the most awesome things about traveling around the Czech Republic, Vienna, and Munich, was the hot wine and warm punches served all over. These are the perfect drinks for when you are spending your days exploring these wonderful places in colder weather. You can get these from kiosks all over the place and carry your punch or wine while walking around and exploring. Definitely a highlight. :)
The cliffs beneath the Old Man of Storr rise from the Trotternish Ridge in winter light. Columnar basalt, formed by ancient volcanic force, stands unmoved against shifting weather and passing seasons. Snow traces the vertical lines of the rock face, defining its scale and weight. It does not react. It does not yield. It simply remains. Isle of Skye, Scotland.
I broke my rule about always cropping 2:3 so that I could get maximum impact out of this one (and remove someone's head and a suspended PA speaker).
Day 228 of the 365 Journey

Day 47:
Okay, kind of dramatic. I can't help it, I like dramatic lighting. Adds an OOMPH. So Diablo 3 is open beta now... I've played through it twice already and I have to say.. IT IS AWESOME <3 I brought up D3 because it was influenced in today's self portrait. In the log in screen, the creatures are silhouetted but lightly lit in the from but have this harsh back light on them. This is my take on it
Setup:
-Bower SFD728C by itself behind me.

Love how non-traditional this couple was in pretty much every avenue of their wedding.. it was a true celebration of their love all day long & I can't imagine anything else being more fitting for them that what they already managed to pull together.. it was amazing!!

The coastal town of Whitby photographed in dramatic low angle sunlight against a brooding sky.
Whitby was a fishing and whaling town, later turning to alum and jet export as well as tourism. Famous descendents of Whitby include ocean explorers Captain Cook and William Scoresby. Whitby is also featured in Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'.

Day 60 of the 365 Journey.
How many times can I repeat the phrase “Most shoots end up NOTHING like they start out”? I’ve come to the conclusion that whatever ideas are in my head, no matter how clear and concise, are just sketch’s! It took 60 days for that message to become crystal clear, but I finally got it! Mr. FROST actually started out pretty happy on a white backdrop with lots of light. As I shot the first few frames I quickly realized that the food colored cake frosting was now starting to melt due to my body heat (MAN I’m HOT! Haha). So we digressed from Happy Mr. Frosting to Devious MR. FROST in about 12 frames. Just as I went upstairs to jump in the shower (and show Suzanne what her husband had become) , a HUGE chunk of BLUE frosting dripped off of my face and landed nicely on my shorts! Quick….into the shower!
Even after the shower…..I smelled like CAKE!

So I got to photograph one of my favorite bands live last night. It was a very high energy show, the guys definitely put on their A-game for a freezing night. I'll be posting a few select favorites here. I don't get to do concert work nearly enough any more - I forget how fun it is to try and art up the shots.
This beaded top required some dramatic lighting so I took these at a studio surrounded in black.

The Beginning
Before Lara Croft was the Kick Ass adventurer that we all know and love she had to learn a few things…. the hard way. She had to make mistakes; and she had to discover for herself what it meant to be a true Tomb Raider. Under the early guidance of her father and her ambitions to uncover the lost mysteries of the world, this young heiress would become the epitome of all those who follow in her footsteps.
