Running ACOT on the CN Ashcroft Sub, CN 908 navigates through the many rock sheds in the White Canyon. The side dump cars are loaded with concrete blocks to be put along the right of way east of Morris for rock fall protection.

Inside the New York Public Library. The color version of this image has a completely different look and feel to it, but I prefer the high contrast and tones of the black and white version.

There was a very quick moment between when the light started coming in at this angle and when the Red Lobster employees closed the blinds in which Lily was just *fantastically* lit. Look at that drama. Fuck yeah.

Plus, I got leftover crab legs to take home.

I bet you didn't know you were the villain of this story.

Staci was the perfect model and I loved the way the light looked on this dress she chose. This reminded me of a classic Marilyn Monroe pose.

Experimenting with lighting.

Tomorrow I officially done high school. I am slowly getting sicker. Started off with a sore throat and now it's a sore throat, loss of voice, AND runny nose. Oh man, I live the life.

How are you feeling these days flickr?

Studio Chez-Moi

A striking high-contrast black and white portrait featuring a man in a fedora hat, exuding mystery and sophistication. The dramatic lighting and the deep contrast emphasize his features, while a single red rose on his chest adds a powerful, symbolic touch. A timeless image that blends noir aesthetics with modern artistic vision.

These Iris are are a type called rebloomers because they bloom all year round. The other iris in our garden just bloom for a short period once a year. This was picked this morning.

I lit this with three strobes. An SB600 in a snoot, camera left and front to focus light on the center of the flower, an SB600 in a softbox camera left at 10 o'clock that acted as the main light, and an SB700 in a softbox camera right at 5 o'clock to throw a little light on the right side. The strobes were in manual mode and were triggered by the pop up flash on my D90 in commander mode.

Other plants and flowers that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Plant set. In the description, I list resources that I've used to learn how to light with off camera flash. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/...
