Terwijl het hoofdlijnennet in Duitsland een spoorbreedte heeft van 1435mm (normaalspoor) werden op nevenlijntjes ook andere spoorbreedtes gebruikt zoals hier van Cranzahl naar Kurort Oberwiesenthal (Fichtelbergbahn in Saksen) met een spoorbreedte van 750mm. Om toch doorgaand goederenvervoer te realiseren, worden de normaalsporige goederenwagons op smalspoor-rolwagens geladen. Zo'n combinatie werd gefotografeerd te Cranzahl terwijl de smalspoortrein de normaalsporige hoofdlijn (het linkerspoor) kruist.

BB 67431 takes the Corail coaches from Paris Montparnasse to the final destination on the peninsula of Quiberon. Running in the months of July and August only. In the backdrop the beach ⛱ of Carnac. Carnac is well-known for 'Les Alignements' or the fields with menhirs.

And yes, I was lucky in Güterglück. Of the multiple freight trains that I saw, I’ll show 2. Very surprising to me to see so many freight trains on a Sunday. I wonder if this is normal in the east of Germany.

Im äußersten Süden Frankreichs betreibt der Verein Train du Pays Cathare et du Fenouillèdes (TPCf) Touristikverkehre als „Train Rouge“ auf der reizvollen Bahnlinie von Rivesaltes am Mittelmeer nach Axat im Pyrenäenvorland. Zum Einsatz kommen verschiedene Garnituren, wobei meist ein Triebwagen vom Typ X 4500 „Caravelle“ zwischen Rivesaltes und Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet pendelt, während ein lokbespannter Zug auf dem hinteren Abschnitt zwischen Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet und Axat zum Einsatz kommt.
Im Bahnhof von Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet bahnt sich BB 63240 beim Umsetzmanöver den Weg durch das Gestrüpp. Während die Gleisanlagen und das Bahnhofsgebäude ein wenig verwahrlost wirken, macht der Bahnsteig im Hintergrund einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck.
La belle CC 72084 récemment remise en circulation, assure un train pour la Cellule des matériels radiés (CMR) à destination de Longueville pour l'exposition "Festival Vapeur". La rame est composée d'une voiture UIC, une OCEM, une voiture cinéma Sux SCC et de voitures Corail couchettes qui servent de poids-frein. La rame est vue sur le groupe VI à Herblay. Merci au conducteur pour les coups de sifflet !
Een drukke avondspits op het station van Grünburg, het eindpunt van de Oostenrijkse 760mm Steyrtalbahn. Gerangeerd wordt met (v.l.n.r.) de ÖBB 699.103 uit 1944, de 298.53 uit 1898 en de 498.04 uit 1929. Waar een museumlijn al niet toe in staat is. De eerste twee genoemde locomotieven heb ik eind jaren 70 nog bij de ÖBB in de normale dienst zien rijden.

En résumé de cette belle journée du 06 Octobre pour la Fête du train de Miramas je propose mon cliché de cette machine toujours aussi belle qu’est la CC 6570. Faisant très rarement des clichés en gare, c’est exceptionnellement en gare de Vitrolles Aéroport Marseille Provence qu’est pris celui-ci, étant donné qu’avec l’horaire l’exposition était mauvaise partout ailleurs. Les derniers rayons de soleil de la journée se font alors voir sur la machine qui se dirige vers Marseille pour ramener la rame, avant de repartir en HLP sur Avignon. Encore un grand merci à tous les membres de l’AP CC 6570 pour cette journée, et également de nous faire partager cette partie du patrimoine ferroviaire à chaque fois.

Wednesday august 10th I went chasing trains along the Antwerp - Aachen freight corridor. Those days off, with nothing to worry about but the photos, are rare, so I wanted to stand along the tracks at sunrise. Which meant waking up really early, but which also meant fluid traffic.
Still dozy from the long ride I had to prepare for action quickly as a first train was already approaching. The swift walk did what it had to do: fully concentrated I could should a car train from DB Cargo on its way to the port of Zeebrugge.

I try not to post more than 1 photo per location; my good excuse this time is that I like this spot, and that we got to see a lot of interesting trains here. Soon after the BLS train passed us, we heard a rumble in the distance announcing the next one.

Het stationsgebouw van Kropswolde stamt uit 1915 en is gelegen aan de spoorlijn Groningen - Bad Nieuweschans. Dankzij de vereniging beeldende kunstenaars station Kropswolde (B.K.S.K.) is het gebouw bewaard gebleven en het kreeg in 2004 de status van rijksmonument. Het herbergt o.a. de huisgalerie van de B.K.S.K en een museum voor handwerktuigen. Het klassieke stationsgebouw met de wegdraaiende sporen is hier altijd een fraaie combinatie.
The railway station of Kropswolde was built in 1915 along the railway line from Groningen to (Bad) Nieuweschans, The Netherlands. The railway line is nowadays operated by Arriva and the building has the status of a state monument, housing an artists'association and a museum.

Per espletare la prestigiosa relazione “Alpazur” (Nice - Grenoble - Genève, nel tratto di competenza CP), nel settembre del 1984 si è aggiunta al parco rotabili delle Chemins de fer de Provence la splendida rame Soulé-Garnéro, composta dall’automotrice X 351 e dalla rimorchiata pilota XR 1351. Dopo 41 anni di travagliato servizio, la Soulé continua a correre sui binari della Nice-Digne, anche se profondamente ammodernata e ricostruita a seguito di un incendio avvenuto nel 2008.
La foto la mostra nei pressi della stazione di Colomars - La Manda mentre espleta il Treno 728 (Plan du Var - Nice) dello scorso 27 dicembre.

De afvoertrein van Pernis naar Kijfhoek bestond op donderdag 8 december 2016 uit slechts één ketelwagen. Trekkracht van dienst was de 6433 van de Wegsleepdienst.

"The UK has announced an end to its surveillance flights over Gaza, after sending more than 600 RAF spy flights between December 2023 and 10 October 2025.
The flights were carried out from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus by 14 Squadron's Shadow R1 aircraft while Israel was committing what a UN committee ruled in September to be a genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Since October 2023, at least 67,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel, with Save the Children estimating that one Palestinian child was killed every hour.
According to the Ministry of Defence, surveillance aircrafts were "always unarmed, did not have a combat role and were tasked solely to locate hostages". The government claims it "strictly controlled" the information passed on from these flights, only giving "information relating to hostage rescue" to Israeli authorities.
However, the secrecy and lack of parliamentary oversight around these flights has raised questions around the UK's complicity in and active assistance of Israel's genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
In March, an investigation by Action on Armed Violence for Declassified UK found the RAF conducted 24 flights in the two weeks leading up to and including the day of Israel's deadly attack on the al-Nuseirat refugee camp on 8 June 2024. The attack reportedly killed 274 Palestinians and injured over 700, while four Israeli hostages were rescued in an act of 'collateral genocide'. It's unclear whether British intelligence directly contributed to the attack or was solely used to locate hostages."

On Sateruday afternoon, Crossrail picks up a container train at the Kluizendok terminal in the port of Ghent. The train is headed to Mortara, and on the Belgian leg of the journey it is hauled by a class 66 locomotive.
On October 16th I took my daughter and son on a photo afternoon. While the little boy was sleeping and the little girl was drawing, I could make a photo of the Mortara shuttle that has just left the Kluizendok terminal.
