(EN) The evening regional express 995 from Varazdin to Zagreb was at the end of June and early July 2015. for a short time a loco hauled service, since the usually operating railcar 7022 001 was on extensive test drives. 2044 002 was captured on the evening of the 29/06/2015. hauling the train just before the entrance to the station of Zabok.
(DE) Der abendliche Regionalexpress 995 von Varazdin nach Zagreb war Ende Juni und Anfang Juli 2015. für kurze Zeit eine lokbespannte Leistung, da sich der ihr zugewiesene Triebwagen 7022 001 auf Testfahrten befand. So gelang auch eine Aufnahme von der 2044 002 an der Spitze des Zuges, hier zu sehen am Abend des 29.06.2015. kurz vor der Einfahrt in den Bahnhof von Zabok.

I had seen this train the day before but didn't have a camera so this morning I returned although I had no idea whether the working was daily or a one off. Fortunately it arrived only about 10 minutes later than yesterday.

Het is met 926 vierkante kilometer het grootste eiland van Duitsland: Rügen. Vanaf 1896 kende het eiland een uitgebreid netwerk van smalspoorlijnen dat werd geëxploiteerd door Rügensche Kleinbahn (RüKB). Nadat eerst in 1895 het traject Putbus - Binz was geopend, volgde een jaar later verschillende andere trajecten op het eiland, waaronder het traject van Altefähr naar Putbus. In Altefähr was er aansluiting op de veerboot vanuit Stralsund, Stralsund ligt op het vasteland en vormt ook heden ten dage nog de toegang tot Rügen. Tegenwoordig gaat de reis naar Rügen niet meer met de veerboot, maar over de ruim 1 kilometer lange ‘Rügendamm’.
Het interbellum vormde de gloriejaren van de RüKB. In die periode vervoerde het spoorbedrijf jaarlijks rond de 300.000 reizigers en rond 175.000 ton aan goederen. Na de tweede wereldoorlog werden de spoorlijnen op Rügen - net als elders in de DDR - aan de Deutsche Reichsbahn toebedeeld. In de jaren ’60 kwam ook hier de klad in het goederenvervoer vanwege de opkomst van de vrachtauto. Eind van de jaren ’70 viel dan ook het doek voor een groot aantal spoortrajecten op Rügen. Wat overbleef was waar het op het eiland ooit mee begonnen was: het traject van Putbus richting Binz.
Tegenwoordig wordt er het gehele jaar op het 24 lange traject van Putbus via Binz naar de populaire badplaats Göhren gereden. In het drukke zomerseizoen wordt er vaker gereden dan tijdens de wintermaanden. De exploitatie wordt verzorgd door inmiddels fors op leeftijd gekomen stoomlocomotieven en rijtuigen, waarvan een groot deel bijna een eeuw oud is.
De foto toont de combinatie van de zeer fraai ontworpen locomotief 99 4802 met eveneens vijf fraaie rijtuigen. De locomotief is in 1938 door de firma Henschel & Sohn uit Kassel aan de ‘Kleinbahnen des Kreises Jerichow’ afgeleverd. In 1965 kwam de locomotief - samen met zusterlocomotief 99 4801 - naar Rügen. Achter de locomotief hangen vijf vier-assige rijtuigen, getooid in de klassieke livrei van de Deutsche Reichsbahn. Vanwege het toenemende verkeer naar de badplaatsen, werden deze rijtuigen vanaf 1911 door de RüKB aangeschaft.
De foto toont de trein in de omgeving van het buurtschap Nistelitz. Wat winterse neerslag betreft liet Koning Winter het al een paar dagen afweten; slechts enkele laatste sneeuwresten liggen nog in het weiland. Koning Winter bezorgde echter wél die dag temperaturen van rond het vriespunt met een fijne stoomontwikkeling tot gevolg.

(EN) After four other locomotives of the same series, 018, 024, 026 and 038 were active for a short time on freight services in Varazdin area, with the 2062 019 already the fifth locomotive in the new color scheme was used on this route. On 24/09/2015 it waited at the Zabok station on the top of the 66740 freight train for the departure order to take the five gas cars to Sveti Kriz-Zacretje to the local tank storage.

RD16396. Built in 1937 specifically for excursion traffic, this is a beautifully restored Collett Excursion 3rd. The interior of this vehicle still has its original 1930s Art Deco styling and it is popular with visitors on open days when it sees use on the demonstration line.

The two steam locomotives are waiting for their next season. It was freezing cold to work, as there is no heating in the shop.
R2594. On Sunday, 3rd October, 1965, the Southern Counties Touring Society ran the 'Exeter Flyer' special train from London Waterloo to Ilfracombe and Torrington.
The train was hauled to Exeter Central by rebuilt Bulleid Southern Railway Merchant Navy class Pacific 35022 HOLLAND AMERICA LINE. At Exeter, a pair of British Railways Standard Class 4MT 2-6-4 tanks, 80039 and 80043, took over as far a Barnstaple Junction where the train was split with one part going on to Ilfracombe and the other going to Torrington.
I went on the Torrington portion and was surprised to find this relic of the Southern Railway still in situ. The line closed to passengers the following day, but the station building sill survives and is now the Puffing Billy pub and tea rooms. The trackbed of the line also survived, and is now part of the Tarka Trail foot and cycle path.

(EN) The afternoon passenger train 3012 from Zagreb to Varazdin is one of the most crowded services on this route, his four or five cars are almost always full. On this rainy afternoon, he has recently left Zabok and is entering the station Hum-Lug, where he will after a short stop continue its journey towards Varazdin. The 2044 024 has driven its last kilometers in April this year on the routes in northeastern Croatia, today it is stabled at the Zagreb marshalling yard, waiting for its further destiny.
(DE) Der nachmittägliche Personenzug 3012 von Zagreb nach Varazdin ist einer der am meisten ausgelasteten Leistungen an dieser Strecke, seine vier oder fünf Wagen sind so gut wie immer vollbesetzt. An diesem verregnetem Nachmittag hat er vor kurzem Zabok verlassen und befindet sich bei der Einfahrt in die Haltestelle Hum-Lug, wo er nach kurzem Halt seine Fahrt in Richtung Varazdin fortsetzen wird. Die 2044 024 hat ihre letzten Kilometer im April dieses Jahres auf den Strecken im Nordosten Kroatiens gefahren, heute steht sie wegen Fristablaufs abgestellt am Zagreber Verschiebebahnhof und wartet auf ihr weiteres Schicksal.
Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme (CFBS): the BA12 diesel locomotive, built in 1941 on the chassis of the 0-6-0T steam locomotive 644 of 1883. The BA12 circulated on the CFD Indre-et-Loire North, then in the Yonne as well as Savoie. He arrived on the Blanc-Argent railway in 1952. It will be taken over by the CFBS from 1989 to 2011 when it will be sent to the Société pour l'Animation du Blanc Argent (SABA).

Op vrijdag 13 april werd er een fotodag georganiseerd voor de fotografen. Er zouden 5 treinparen ingezet worden met als hoofdact een goederentrein.
BB63852 zorgde voor de overbrenging van de "Eqiom" cement wagons voor de foto goederentrein. Foto is gemaakt in station Arques.

Elle se situait sous le feu de la chaudière et permettait d'éclaircir le feu en faisant tomber la cendre.

SNCF: the Cerdagne narrow gauge line is one of the most picturesque railways in France. Known with the nickname of "Train Jaune" or "Canari", it has a length of 62.5 km, metric gauge and is electrified with a third rail at 850 V DC. It was commissioned between 1910 and 1927.
The first train of the morning is ready to depart for Villefranche-Vernet-les-Bains. It consists of three Z 100 railcars, a ZRBDq 20000 closed trailer, and two ZRBX 20030 open trailers.
