Before posting the second of 2 freights, a more recent shot I made not too long ago.
Rurtalbahn Cargo's 186 233 is leading a car train towards Karlsruhe. Who knows how long these Alpha's will still remain with Rurtalbahn Cargo, considering the recent influx of Vectrons in their fleet.
Le 23 Juillet 2018, une tournée Mauzin numéro 818977 avait lieue entre Saint Germain au Mont d’Or et Nîmes, encadrée par deux BB 69200. Le convoi est vu passant sur le défilé de Donzère avec quelques minutes de retard.
De Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) heeft een van haar eindpunten bovenop de Brocken - met 1141 meter de hoogste berg van Noord-Duitsland waar zich extreme weersomstandigheden kunnen voordoen en waarvan de top gemiddeld 306 dagen per jaar in mist is gehuld. We konden ons dan ook gelukkig prijzen met 2 dagen helder zicht en hoewel het prachtig was overdag, stond het vizier gericht op de laatste trein op deze 2 dagen. Stoomloc 99 7237-3 is hier bijna bij het eindstation op de Brocken aangekomen terwijl de winterzon door de avondschemering wordt overmand. Niet alleen het einde van de dag, maar ook het einde van de vakantie en ..... het (voorlopig) einde van deze fotografische samenvatting ervan.
The Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) ends amongst others on top of the Brocken - with 1141 meter the highest peak of Northern Germany. A place with extreme weather conditions and on average 306 days per year covered in mist and fog. We were very lucky with 2 days of clear sky and although it was beautiful during the day, our focus was on the last train of these days. Steam locomotive 99 7237-3 is approaching here the end station at the Brocken during sunset. Not only the end of this day, but also the end of the holidays and ... the end of this summary in pictures.

Not many trains run in the beautiful countryside of northeastern Morocco. In the evening light of October 25, 2019 and not far to Fès, DH 420 pulls a passenger train to Oujda near the Algerian border.

Retour aux JEP de 2025 qui étaient assez riches niveaux moments chaleureux et bien sûr, une météo des plus agitée.
L'association du Chemin de Fer Touristique du Sud des Ardennes où CFTSA nous a accueilli à bras ouvert pour contempler ses magnifiques autorails de différents types.
En voici un, l'X 3898 de type "Picasso", datant de 1954, en pleine manœuvre, afin de faciliter le passage des autres machines.
D'autres photos des autres autorails présents viendront au fur et à mesure donc, à bientôt!

Back to the 2025 Open House Days, which were full of warm moments and, of course, some very unsettled weather.
The Chemin de Fer Touristique du Sud des Ardennes (CFTSA) association welcomed us with open arms to admire its magnificent railcars of various types.
Here is one of them, the X 3898 ‘Picasso’ type, dating from 1954, in the middle of a manoeuvre to facilitate the passage of other machines.

Sous le Pont Lafayette, le TGV POS 4404 va partir dans quelques minutes pour … nulle part. Il a en remorque la rame V150 qu’il emmène sur la ligne à grande vitesse Est Européenne (LGV Est ou LN6) faire des essais de vitesse.

Beneath the Pont Lafayette, TGV POS set 4404 is due to depart in a few minutes… for nowhere at all.
In tow is the V150 trainset, which it is taking onto the LGV Est Européenne (also known as LGV Est or LN6) for a series of speed trials.

After a trip to CN's Southwark yard to interchange, a heavy St. Lawrence and Atlantic train mainly laden with propane and lumber heads east through mile 108 of the Sherbrooke subdivision behind half a dozen EMD products. On the right is the former approach signal to Ste-Rosalie. SLR and CN rail is now split with a short stretch of rule 105 track.
De smalspoortrein is onderweg van Bertsdorf naar Jonsdorf in de Lausitz. Tussen de met leisteen beklede huizen galmen de slagen van de stoomlocomotief. Locomotief 99 1749-3 uit 1929 heeft er nog een hele klus aan om de gemengde trein met een opgebokte normaalspoorwagen de heuvel op te trekken. In de gemngde trein met reizigersaccomodatie en goederenwagens lopen een rijtuig en een conducteurs en bagagewagen. De smalspoorlijnen van Zittau naar Oybin en Jonsdorf hebben de sluiting van de 750 mm lijnen in de voormalige DDR overleefd en kennen nog steeds een dagelijks uitgevoerde treindienst.

The journey to Dresden went flawlessly. After checking into my hotel I took a train to Dresden Hbf, where I expected a couple of EuroNight trains. These trains change locos in Dresden, so it was a good opportunity to check out the Czech Skoda electrics, that would soon be replaced by modern Siemens Vectron locomotives.
CD 371 015 with EuroNight 477 from Berlin to Budapest. The train was braught here by 2 BR101 engines.

Soirée du 13 Juillet dernier, une rame Régio2N assure un TER reliant Hyères à Marseille, de passage sous les dernières lueurs de la journée après la gare de Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer.
Het stationsgebouw van Kropswolde stamt uit 1915 en is gelegen aan de spoorlijn Groningen - Bad Nieuweschans. Dankzij de vereniging beeldende kunstenaars station Kropswolde (B.K.S.K.) is het gebouw bewaard gebleven en het kreeg in 2004 de status van rijksmonument. Het herbergt o.a. de huisgalerie van de B.K.S.K en een museum voor handwerktuigen. Het klassieke stationsgebouw met de wegdraaiende sporen is hier altijd een fraaie combinatie.
The railway station of Kropswolde was built in 1915 along the railway line from Groningen to (Bad) Nieuweschans, The Netherlands. The railway line is nowadays operated by Arriva and the building has the status of a state monument, housing an artists'association and a museum.

I had found a nice location near Pöckau and I decided to wait there if a train would be coming. This was the case shortly after arriving already. We see CT-Train's 6193 433, sub-hired to CD Cargo, with an empty car train from Italy to somewhere in Slovakia.
The clouds that were moving fast in the distance, didn't right here. I stuck with my 1 picture and left to the next location for some Italy bound traffic.

Next to the beach of Bodri, a class X 97050 DMU drives along the coast between Calvi and L'Île-Rousse.
The benjamin of the 1216 series is seen with a Railjet from Bologna to München, against the backdrop of Predicola and Cima Monticello mountains.
The second generation Railjet rake was fortunately still hauled by a Taurus locomotive instead of yet another Vectron.

Day 2 of 2025 saw sun and clouds. When this train to Gent passed me, I saw mostly clouds. It wasn't as bad as a few hundred meters more towards Lokeren. There, sun and rain added some spectacle to the photo.
Timing is everything, as a few minutes earlier the foreground scene was also lit by the sun. And a few minutes after this shot, I had to run and seek shelter for the rain.
Hexafret 60023 with a train of maintained freight wagons towards Somain. The wagons are maintained at the Inveho UAB facilities in Achiet, which is served quite regularly.
