Le 26 Janvier dernier, la BB 26227 assurait un des habituels Vintimille - Miramas de la journée, le convoi est vu de passage entre La Farlède et La Garde en fin de matinée.
Still hungry for some trains, we continued to Zeebrugge, hoping to still catch the HSL car train to Germany. We were late though, but there were still some class 66 locos roaming around. We caught RTBC's PB 14 with a car train at the north end of the Pelikaan yard.

Tijd weer voor iets kleurrijks en dat werd gevonden tijdens het blauwe uurtje in de fraaie stationshal van Den Haag Centraal. En voor de treinspotters : het treinstel betreft de SLT 2469.

I honestly don't remember why I went to spend some time waiting at Pepingen. It may have been for a rush hour train that I ended up not seeing... anyway, I ended up with some nice pictures of other passenger trains.

Bien le bonjour!
Rien de tel que des poses longues à Paris Austerlitz pour s'occuper lorsque qu'il ne fait pas très beau en journée.
Le 19 janvier fût assez riche niveau Nez Cassé avec des remontés de voitures Corails et autres services comme ce train de nuit composés de voitures couchettes au nombre de 7.
Alors en préparation pour effecuer l'intercité de nuit n°5789 à destination de Briançon, la BB 22328 Béton, alors rutilante , était alors prête, à se lancer dans un long périple.
De quoi conclure cette journée avec le smile.

There's nothing like long layovers at Paris Austerlitz to keep yourself busy when the weather isn't great during the day.
19 January was quite a busy day for Nez Cassé, with Corail carriages and other services such as this night train consisting of seven couchette carriages.
In preparation for the night intercity train No. 5789 to Briançon, the BB 22328 Béton, gleaming in the sun, was ready to embark on a long journey.
What a way to end the day with a smile.

Parti de Vrutky (au nord), ce train (charter historique) se dirige vers Banská Bystrica (à l’est). Il a passé la gare de Cremosné puis le long tunnel sommital de Cremosné (4698m). Le voici qui sort du premier court tunnel situé immédiatement après la sortie est du tunnel de Cremosné. C’est le tunnel Tufenský (50m), dans la montagne.
Entre Čremošné et Banská Bystrica, la ligne comporte 22 tunnels, d’une longueur totale de 12,21 km soit 37% de la distance, dans un paysage escarpé et souvent peu accessible.

Having started from Vrútky in the north, this heritage charter is heading eastward towards Banská Bystrica. After passing Čremošné station, it has passed through the 4,698-metre Čremošné summit tunnel. Here it is emerging from the first short tunnel immediately beyond the eastern portal of the Čremošné tunnel: the 50-metre Tufenský tunnel, deep in the mountains.
Between Čremošné and Banská Bystrica, the line features 22 tunnels with a combined length of 12.21 km, representing around 37% of the route, in steep and often difficult-to-access terrain.

Dopo un’interruzione durata quasi 10 mesi, lo scorso 15 dicembre sono tornati a circolare i treni tra Trento e Borgo Valsugana, sulla ferrovia Trento - Bassano del Grappa. Nelle settimane precedenti la riapertura, tra le stazioni di Roncegno Bagni-Marter e Pergine ha viaggiato un particolare treno merci (per tonnellaggio) composto dai locomotori D345 1082, 1107 e 1032 e da 7 carri di tipo Fals/Falns: un evento più unico che raro che ha attirato in Valsugana appassionati di treni da tutta Italia e non solo. L’obbiettivo di questi treni era quello di assestare il binario dove sono stati posati i primi plinti per i pali della linea aerea (in vista della prossima elettrificazione della linea) e presso Roncegno, dove è stato varato un nuovo ponte metallico.
La foto è stata scattata lo scorso 6 dicembre presso Barco, frazione del comune di Levico Terme.

Le 29 Mars a été une journée test du coin de Thieux en Seine et Marne, sur la ligne 229 reliant Paris Nord aux frontières belges, qui a été récemment élagué par endroits.
C'est avec du soleil et quelques nuages qui grossissent qu'est photographié l'euro 4001-3979 de chez Captrain France, bien propre, en direction de Mitry Claye sur ce FRET au nom de l'entité n°70016 composé de 23 trémies NACCO depuis Caffiers.
Voilà un résultat plutôt satisfaisant qui, malgré le demi contre-jour, rend bien sur ce train selon moi.

Hello there!
29 March was a test day in the Thieux area of Seine-et-Marne, on line 229 linking Paris Nord to the Belgian border, which has recently been cut back in places.
It was under sunny skies with a few gathering clouds that I photographed the Captrain France Euro 4001-3979, looking very clean, heading towards Mitry Claye on this freight train registered to entity no. 70016, consisting of 23 NACCO hopper wagons from Caffiers.
This is a rather satisfying result which, despite the slight backlighting, captures this train well in my opinion.

Car traffic to the port of Zeebrugge has been booming in recent months. Many car trains drive to and from the port 24 hours per day, operated by almost all freight operators present on Belgian rails. On one of the few dry days we've had in weeks, I ventured out into the fields to flash some trains. Besides a Railtraxx and a Crossrail train, I got a Lineas train hauling empties towards the port.

Depuis peu, des coins qui étaient exploitables et avaient disparu, ont commencé à renaître à Changis sur Marne et en voici un exemple, cette ensemble vert et jaune typique des périodes estivales.
Passage en grande pompe du régulier "train d'IKEA" n°52762 Metz Sablons =] Valenton triage opéré par DB Cargo France avec à la traction la Class 66249 ex ECR de wagons vides et conteneurs.
l'ensemble est vu dans la courbe en C de la commune citée plus haut, sous un ciel de plomb avec en prime, des champs de Tournesols.

Good morning!
Recently, areas in Changis-sur-Marne that were once usable but had disappeared have started to come back to life, and here’s an example: this green and yellow ensemble, typical of the summer months.
The regular ‘IKEA train’ No. 52762 from Metz to Sablons makes its grand entrance =] Valenton marshalling yard operated by DB Cargo France, with Class 66249 (formerly ECR) hauling empty wagons and containers.
The train is seen on the C-shaped curve in the town mentioned above, under a leaden sky, with fields of sunflowers as a bonus.

Wednesday March 19 2025 was a very sunny day, and I was glad that I was able to take a day off work. Some interesting traffic to and from the stone quarry of Quenast was announced. First of all, TUC RAIL with a train headed to Schaarbeek, hauled by two class 55 locomotives. These locomotives may have lived their last winter, as rumors go that they will be put out of service later this year.

Rechts werkwagen АС1А-1445 uit 1972 en in het midden dieseltreinstel D1-632 onderweg van Solotvyno naar Batovo (Lviv Railway). Ganz-MÁVAG leverde dit treinstel in 1978. Een D1-interieuropname is te zien in het eerste kommentaar hieronder.

Today I did something that I haven't done in a long time: take a day off to make photos of passenger trains. Passenger. Trains. Really.
The intercity trains between Schaarbeek and Kortrijk are still hauled by vintage 21 and 27 series locomotives. These machines are about my age and as such I've known them all my active railfanning life. They are being gradually withdrawn though, and this realizing was one of the factors deciding to spend a day chasing them. Another important factor being that I had found a lot of nice spot between Oudenaarde and Zottegem during my bicyle rides, but I didn't make photos there yet.
With the locomotives oriented on the Kortrijk-side of the trains, they would only show a sunny face in the afternoon. The morning I spent picturing 2 freight trains on locations I wanted to try out for a while.

First time along line 24, back in 2000. My parents had rented a vacation home near Sint-Martens-Voeren. From the house we could hear the mighty diesel engines crawl up the hill between Visé and Montzen.
With my mom's vintage film camera I spent quite a few hours along the tracks. This brings back good memories, more than 20 years later.

On continue sur le 22 Avril, dans le célèbre coin de Juilly avec un classique rempli de surprises!
Passage à vitesse soutenue de l'infra Tergnier / SPDC, composé globalement de wagons plats et machines, mené par la vaillante BB 22302 portant la livrée emblématique de cette activité et accompagnée des vieilles mais toutes aussi tenaces BB 67251 et 67253 Arzens puis, pour finir, la BB 27303 ex transilien, récemment affecté au parc.
Voir des 22200 en tête de cette acheminement est, depuis l'arrivée des 27300 comme sur la photo, plutôt rare de nos jours et de surcroit, avec le champs de colza à droite, cela ajoute plus de charme à ce merveilleux cliché, déjà embelli par le soleil printanier.

Good evening,
We continue with 22 April, in the famous Juilly area, with a classic run full of surprises!
A high-speed run through the Tergnier / SPDC infrastructure, consisting mainly of flat wagons and locomotives, led by the valiant BB 22302 in the iconic livery of this service and accompanied by the old but equally tenacious BB 67251 and 67253 Arzens, and finally, the BB 27303, formerly a Transilien, recently added to the fleet.
Seeing a 22200 at the head of this freight train is, since the arrival of the 27300s as shown in the photo, rather rare these days; moreover, with the rapeseed field on the right, it adds even more charm to this wonderful shot, already enhanced by the spring sunshine.
