Setup for a few shots I took of some cupcakes.

Sunpack 383 on 1/4 power camera left with grid. Cupcakes are sitting on thin plexiglass with black foamcore underneath. Black reflector to side to eat the light.

Setup for portrait of Disa. Ambient is contributing pretty much nothing to the exposure.

Now that I have an umbrella I can steal Hobby's full setup. Today I also had access to a third flash, so I added a rim/chin light too. It was a bit too hot and probably should've been placed more behind subject as well.

A look at the office in Q1 2010

Newborn session setup! Struggling with the light in this space as there is SO much...finding my images sometimes look "flat" due to the lack of one light source.... still figuring out how to remedy this...

Setup shot for Kimble/Frustration/Trouble board game pictures. 430EX (1/4 at 35mm) into umbrella at left.

This was a tricky one - we were trying to light the inside of the mask with red, but since the eye ports were on different planes, I wound up having to use two lights - one for each eye.

The main light has a green gel, a grid and a short snoot.

The eye lights have red gels, and are snooted very tightly with cinefoil.

DEMO Setup - DEMO Fall 2013 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California Monday October 14, 2013. Complete coverage of DEMO, the Launchpad for Emerging Technologies and Trends, can be found at bit.ly/DEMOsite.

Our new setup for geotagging images with data from a Garmin geko 301 GPS receiver. Camera is a Canon 400D digital SLR. The flash bracket is by Hama bought for a few quid via eBay. The geko fits to the bracket via a cycle mount kit. The location data is combined with JPG image files using Downloader Pro 2. No support (yet) for direction data, although the Garmin unit is supposed to record this.

My current setup.. not too fancy, core 2 quad, dual monitor with a dual boot (windows7, and ubuntu) KVM'd with another dual boot (Win XP, ubuntu) computer sitting in the corner behind the desk.. ;0)

Way back you can see the strobe, then behind the bottle is a diffuser to make soft light that will wrap around the bottle,

a reflector on each side to push some light back onto the front of the bottle.

This shows how simple the setup can be.

Primative Setup. Cheap and easy...

(Slackline Setup was posted by www.yourclimbing.com user yedrek and tagged as slackline, primative, biners, slack)

This is my setup for shooting the water drop pictures.

All of this is in my computer/spare/junk room! As you can see, most of my equipment is DIY! The flashes all came from eBay,

my camera setup, pretty straight forward whats there.

My little setup. I recently bought some cork boards to hand up stuff, because I forget everything. So if it's right in front of me, chances are I will not forget it :)

Those among you who follow my posting of Pluto Valve control blocks will soon realise this is again another setup and might also think that I am a weirdo to keep testing new arrangements of the necessary components. Unfortunately, that has been indeed true and the reason for changing has always been the lack of rigidity of the block carrying Pluto trigger and its valves due to the quality of the roller heads I used and of some of the remaining components. Also, I have been trying to minimise the size and number of total components used, while maintaining and also improving the block functionality, ease of operation, and its global stiffness. The current block is built around, in this last version, a camera rig I once used to operate a video serving GH4, but not anymore... There are still a number of areas where the current block can be further improved, but for the time being this is my most rigid and most accommodating configuration ever. I also ordered a Keiser RS1 (5510) system with an RA1 mount head as my currently use Falcon-eyes is not too rigid either.
