Setup shot for Teamwork 1 and 2. I gelled the flash, full CTO, and set the camera white balance to tungsten. You can see how this gives the background a twilight look.
Flash fired w/ CLS in TTL mode. Camera was full manual to adjust ambient balance.
A setup image of how close my camera gets to water when taking some of the waterfall photos
A quick note to Chris Newham, when doing this type of shot make sure that your tripod legs are expanded as far as possible so the camera doesnt end up at the bottom of the river.
Setup video for day 83
I think it's my second time making this video and I made it way too long. I'll try to make them better next time around.
full figure shot designed to make look long/lean. Lighting issues, and some so-so retouch on the bgnd stuff to remove the cars, but only flash-firing setup shot I have of full figure.
Setup shot for strobe love photo
Project 52 Assignment 1 setup.
3 light setup:
LP160 rear metered at F11. I figured the fog would diffuse the light and reduce this exposure by 2/3 stop. for my background.
SB600 camera right with grid spot metered at F9. Adjusted to expose just my face.
Strobe camera left with soft box and additional diffusion metered at F7. Used as a over all fill but with less exposure to give a slight vignette.
1 8x10 sheet of glass borrowed from a picture frame.
Fog machine on floor behind chair.
Black collapsible background
Camera settings ISO 100, F9 @ 1/160.
The entire setup was done in my office / dining room in under 30 minutes.
Post processing took about an hour where I added the image to the sheet of glass and some other minor adjustments.
The most challenging part of this photo shoot was keeping the glass clean. ;-)
If anyone has any questions let me know.
Setup for this photo.
I've rotated the flashes a little in this shot - in the final posted shot the flash on the right was pointing a little more behind the trophies and the flash lower-left was rotated 45* towards the back-left corner of the setup.
