Another E500 repaint, this time 38217 and notably the last bus in service to carry the Bridges brand now only survived by withdrawn 38223.
38217 changed over driver at Castle Street.
Having given up with the 800s Lothian have moved onto the 300s and don't they look wicked. As off late the 300s have been looking a bit rundown but now they look brand new again and here is a prime example is Lothian 376 while seen doing a service 31 to East Craigs seen here in the sunshine at Atholl Crescent.
Still not the best as I think... neither the eyes.
Need to redo again but I'm happy that I improve my DD face-up skill.
But I need more time.... T.T

Had her head sculpt as a good find on a thrift store way back last year and an online friend on flickr told me that she's Sourgrapes from Strawberry Shortcake, and this morning, had time for another repaint... not your classic FR beauty or the charming youthfulness of Barbies... but she's one heck of a contessa... hahaha.
Recently completed bare metal repaint from the OOC Felix Plaxton Paragon.
This one is a combination of spray (black) and brush (gold) finish and an unusual arrangement for transfers seeing a white base transfer for the fleetname provided by John Atwood with a home-made inkjet one applied over to achieve the required colour.
Worked out quite well overall!
A return to B7RLE repaints for the first time in around a year, 69357 now repainted into Aberdeen local livery having been unique in carrying Olympia livery but with the Platinum 19 branding around the destination area.
It returned to service following repaint on the 28th September and is seen here in Seaton on the 13 for Scatterburn.
My Agnes Repaint "Kara" returned for a little refresh. She received a lighter lipgloss and a chic little haircut.
Scatter love like Confetti
(a fun towel I got in AZ on our trip at beginning of the month - how fortuitous) :D
Alright! Final steps!
1. I go back in and add detail to the eyebrows, darkening them as well.
2. I paint the color on the lips. Now... with this one, I went for a more 'natural' style... so there are no lip lines... but if you want those tiny little lip lines, I recommend patience, a light touch, painting outward from the center and using a medium amount of retardant... so it's moist, but won't bead.
3. I went back and added more color to the eyeshadow, in light, light layers.
4. And... (and this is the point when I consider the painting done) I added the white dot highlights to the eyes!
OH! I forgot to mention 2 important details!
1. BLUSHING: I blush using pastels I purchased from www.volksusa.com which are designed to be used in giving a doll a faceup. I currently don't seal my blush, because, short of getting it wet, it's harder than heck to get off once you get it on there... and I toted the first Frankie I painted all over the place and her blush never budged.
~To Apply~ I take a small cotton ball and rub it on the stick of pastel... then I rub it directly onto the area of the cheeks that I want the blush to be. Usually it goes on too strong... so I rub it with my thumb until it lightens to where I want it.
2.SEALING: So... you've finished, and you like what you've done... and you kind of want it to stick around... so what next?! Seal it! I use a medium Gloss coating (also made by Liquitex) and coat everything I've painted. Eyes, lips, eyebrows... and any extras (like the fish I painted on Lagoona.
When you are applying the gloss, it's VERY IMPORTANT to get it on in one go. Don't apply the gloss, let it sit a second and then go apply more, or even touch it with your brush. Gloss is very tacky, and dries very quickly, and you will end up ruining your gloss coat and leaving yourself with a lumpy looking doll if you mess around with the gloss after you've laid it.
There has been a rumor among railfans that the Pee Dee RR Locomotives would be repainted in the owner Aberdeen and Rockfish rail colors. At least one unit has been spotted partially painted. See repaint 2of2 for a look at the A&R scheme. Once painted, will necessitate an update trip down.

I re-repainted my Inque today. I did like the way she looked before, but my technical painting skills have improved since I repainted her before and every time I looked at her I felt a little embarrassed. I didn't have a good day at painting today though, so I'm not sure if she is technically improved, but I do like the retro look. ;)
She is wearing all Superfrock: Blade lingerie, Cross hose, Rock-it shoes, restyled Swallow wig and a teal shirt.
