A Wisconsin Central trackmobile has tugged newly-painted boxcar No. 47675 out onto the transfer table between shop buildings at North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on April 5, 1996. The car’s reporting marks are for WC subsidiary Sault Ste. Marie Bridge Company.
I was working late today, and thankfully Collin gave me plenty of motivation to wrap it up and get out of there when he let me know that this freshly-painted UP SD70ACe was headed my way, and already west of KC. This unit was released from North Little Rock on May 17th, so at this point, it was just six days from that point, and certainly on its first trip west.
This is at Willard, KS, about fifteen miles west of Topeka on the ex-RI "Topeka Sub," and the 8504 was leading the MASHN west along the Kansas River, along with the NS 9625, and CN 2718. Willard was once the site of "an eastward and a westward siding flanking the two main tracks. And, of course, a stock yard," as per Rock Island historian Patrick Lenahan, although you can clearly see that most all of that infrastructure is now gone.
For the railroad roster nerds out there, if "UP 8504" is tripping any alarms in your brain, it's because its predecessor was the 6,000 HP SD90MAC "Shamu" demonstrator, that was built as the no. 8204 before being renumbered to 8504. For clarification, this is a completely different unit than the 90MAC, but I knew that number rang a bell for a reason, and that's why!

** PS Advisory, I freshened up the bleached-out paint on the lead loco and some mess in the grass. Sorry.
I decided to repaint Kocoum’s face since his eyebrow was rubbed off and I wasn’t a huge fan of his default eyes since they looked a bit too wall eyed.
I first painted his face to match his body then I decided to try painting him to look like a collector Ken doll with smaller eyes and a bit of a smoulder.
Nature has many scenes to exhibit, and constantly draws a curtain over this part or that. She is constantly repainting the landscape and all surfaces, dressing up some scene for our entertainment. Henry David Thoreau (American author, poet, philosopher, 1817 - 1862).
I took this shot last January, but it is about what it looks like as of today in our backyard :-).
Processed with Topaz, and Flypaper textures. Thanks for the starbrushes goes to various sources.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to view.
Always loved the look of this fig and it always reminded me of crossbones so I decided to repaint him to look like CW Crossbones. Might redo the eyes but overall I like how it turned out
Thanks to a note from K-MAD saying a repaint was leading an empty grain train out of Superior I was able to get a shot of it at Boylston. Channeling my inner Enenbach, I incorporated some flora into this view as the 107-car train rolled south across County C.

350110 ready to roll off of Bletchley TMD for Northampton Kings Heath

My driver friend Graham who brought the unit off of the TMD and took it to King's Heath then brought 350108 (with what used to have black trespassing advertising) to Bletchley TMD to have the black stripped and to go into the new colours too
WAMX 6033, an ex-UP SD60M that's now under the employ of WATCO displays its new-look paint scheme at Mid-America Car in Kansas City. I can't say that I'm particularly fond of the scheme, as I think that the nose would benefit from having some more yellow on it, be it a solid panel, stripes, or chevrons, but it is what it is, I guess. WAMX 6032 was there as well, still in UP paint, so I would assume that it will receive the same paint in short order. Ed.: These would never actually leave MAC in this paint, as the design was rejected by management. So, enjoy (?) this rare view of it!
In addition, BNSF SD40-2s no. 1858 & 1618 are siting outside of the shop waiting on a fresh coat of orange.
Looking back to this day in 2011, we'll see a freshly repainted BC Rail C44-9WL. Catch of the day! A repainted BC Rail C44-9WL was seen coming back from Humboldt Yard, as the WC headed to the Highline to get their BN cars. The paint on this unit looked so nice and fresh, yet for some reason, they forgot to repaint the trucks. It doesn't seem that this was that long ago!

I’ve had the Shang Li on the right for years with his hair all messed up and choppy but I’ve been too afraid to customize him because he was one of my only Asian males ever.
But since finding a near mint Shang Li doll, I decided to trim up my first Shang’s hair a bit more and wiped him. I tried to repaint him to look a bit less cartoony and hoped that he’ll integrate with my collection better lol.
I still cant believe its been like 10 years since I’ve started collecting and Shang is still one of the only playline Asian male dolls ever…
