What a great day that was. First being at the wonderful Wiener Fotobörse by Jo Geier and then I captured a „memory lane“ dry plate on my way home and did a salt print of it. Check out my video about it: youtu.be/0C3MvXUT86M #analog #largeformat #analogue #landscapephotography #handmade

There’s no date sign for this church but it’s the final resting place of a famous cleric who died in 1625, so it’s at least that old. Another church in the area with similar doors is dated 1500-20.

The wood is in poor condition but at least these doors can be photographed easily. The older and bigger wooden doors on the local cathedral are in much better condition and feature more elaborate carving but they’re behind protective glass.

A fundraiser for New55: 1Shot is conventional (not t-grain) ISO 100ish film in Polaroid-type envelopes. Apparently this will be the negative for New55.

I've got 10 sheets... dusting off the Polaroid back, pulling out the monster camera and looking for victims subjects. Any takers?

Experimenting with Rodenstock Imagon. Depth of field is impressive but more contrast in lighting is needed for it to shine.

Lots of detail in this image captured in 4x5. Take a roam around in the 7000x5654 size in "all sizes".

Note the old pictures used as ornaments on the Christmas tree. We think they are from the 50's or early sixties. The black framed photo on the wall on the left is a picture of my grandfather, his brother and my great grandfather and his Beagles taken about 1910. The gold framed painting on the left is a painting my grandfather did of my great grandfather and his dogs.

Linhof Technika III 4x5 camera. 1952 90mm Schneider Xenar lens. Ground glass focused. Fuji Provia 100 slide film in standard E6.

Picture Window Pro 4.0.1.9 warp feature used to adjust for the wide angle/perspective effects of the wide angle lens being used from the side of the room.

new bigger version of this.

Inspired by the lyrics of Tom Waits: "On The Nickel"

Sticks and stones will break my bones,

but i always will be true, and when

your mama is dead and gone,

i'll sing this lullaby just for you,

and what becomes of all the little boys,

who never comb their hair,

well they're lined up all around the block,

on the nickel over there.

so you better bring a bucket,

there is a hole in the pail,

and if you don't get my letter,

then you'll know that i'm in jail,

and what becomes of all the little boys,

who never say their prayers,

well they're sleepin' like a baby,

on the nickel over there.

and if you chew tobacco, and wish upon a star,

well you'll find out where the scarecrows sit,

just like punchlines between the cars,

and i know a place where a royal flush,

can never beat a pair, and even thomas jefferson,

is on the nickel over there.

so ring around the rosie, you're sleepin' in the rain,

and you're always late for supper,

and man you let me down again,

i thought i heard a mockingbird, Roosevelt knows where, you can skip the light, with Grady tuck,

on the nickel over there.

so what becomes of all the little boys,

who run away from home,

well the world just keeps gettin' bigger,

once you get out on your own,

so here's to all the little boys,

the sandman takes you where,

you'll be sleepin' with a pillowman,

on the nickel over there.

so let's climb up through that button hole,

and we'll fall right up the stairs,

and i'll show you where the short dogs grow,

on the nickel over there.
