We have a large number of these Lily-of-the-Valley bulbs either side of our main front door. When they release their scent the impact is absolutely delightful but all too short lived and the plant develops even longer floppy leaves.

The Denver Colorado Temple is the 40th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The LDS Church announced its plans to build a temple in Colorado on March 31, 1982. Almost two years later, Gordon B. Hinckley presided over the site dedication and groundbreaking. Hand-carved woodwork adorns the temple interior, along with hand-painted designs on the walls and ceilings. The temple also features more than six hundred square feet of specially designed stained glass windows. The temple is situated on a hilltop in Centennial (a suburb of Denver, next to Littleton) that was once part of a golf course and country club.
Many Latter-day Saints contributed what they could to the building and beautifying of the Denver Colorado Temple. Some made tatted cloths, children earned money and donated it for the building of three 'bride benches,' young men and women made and assembled a dollhouse to be used in the youth center, and more than six hundred volunteers cleaned the temple before the open house held 8–27 September 1986 .
President Ezra Taft Benson, then President of the Church, dedicated the temple on October 24, 1986. The Denver Colorado Temple has a total of 29,117 square feet (2,705 m²), four ordinance rooms, and six sealing rooms. (Wikipedia)

The first time I went to Mt. Soledad, I forgot my SD Card at home and felt like killing myself. this was my second visit...no mistakes this time... and guess what... No mistakes from god in creating one of the most stunning Sunsets in an aproaching thundersrtorm. The Pacific looked all dark under the black clouds. But... in some moments the sun peeked through a bit.. and it rained gold...
Our last Bar Harbor Sunset, it casts a glow over the water as the sun gives its final hoorah with blades of glory

* Back-story: Walking to the lake for sunrise, I was greeted with a burning sky. Sometimes the heavens ignite here in Oulu, and nature always has a surprise or two for the intrepid :)

Memories dance fancifully
what we did and what was said
bold and brilliant reminders
... beautiful like a sea of red
moments of time play in our mind
like flowers in a field
about good times or even bad times
emotions long since healed
they take us down a joyful path
when times were young and free
you can smell the baking cookies
or hear the laughter vividly
return you to when you were young
antics and games and fun
they can be full of instruction
what we've learned and done
often memories are wrapped around
beloved heroes who have passed
and they need to be revisited
to make the memories last
so cherish every memory
keep them as strong as the oak trees
they will keep a hero huggable
hand delivered heavenly peace.

4 The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord's throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.
<< Psalms 11:3Psalm 11:4
"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.
<< Matthew 18:9Matthew 18:10
For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.
<< Matthew 22:29Matthew 22:30
25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
<< Mark 12:24Mark 12:25
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
<< 1 Thessalonians 4:151 Thessalonians 4:16
you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
<< 2 Thessalonians 1:62 Thessalonians 1:7
He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
<< Revelation 3:11Revelation 3:12
1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this." 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.
<< Revelation 3:22Revelation 4:1-4
And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. 22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Need to know
If you're letting go
It's alright,alright, it's alright
Didn't know
I was hurting you so
It's alright, alright, it's alright.
You came to me from nowhere
With nothing
And no-one
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight
Goes to show
You never really know
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come
See me then
Investing so much
In you, in you, in you
Came so close
To the edge
I do, I do, I do
This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come
In the end
We let it go away
We let it float away
On the breeze
'Round the bend
The sun is in the sky
It's starting to look like
It's gonna be, yeah, it's gonna be
A bright
Beautiful day
Yeah, the good times gonna come, oh no
The good times gonna come, yeah, yeah,
This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come, oh,
The good times gonna come, oh yeah
The good times gonna come, ohh
The good times gonna come, yeah.
Need to know if you're letting go
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Aqualung - Good Times Gonna Come
I can't control this flesh and blood
That's wrapped around my bones
It moves beneath me like a river
Into the great unknown
I stepped onto the moving stairs
Before I could tie my shoes
Pried a harp out the fingers of a renegade
Who lived and died the blues
And his promise made was never clear
It just carved itself in me
All I saw was frost inside my head
On the night he said to me
Someday we'll live like horses
Free rein from your old iron fences
There's more ways than one to regain your senses
Break out the stalls and we'll live like horses
We're the victims of the heartbreak
That kept us short of breath
Trapped above these bloodless streets
Without a safety net
I stood in line to join the trial
One more customer of fate
Claimed a spoke in the wheel of the wagon train
On the road to the golden gate
On the flat cracked desert I jumped ship
It just made sense to me
I've spent too long in the belly of the beast
And now I shall be free
[Duet with Luciano Pavarotti:]
I can't control this flesh and blood
That's wrapped around my bones
It moves beneath me like a river
Into the great unknown
I stepped onto the moving stairs
Before I could tie my shoes
Pried a harp out the fingers of a renegade
Who lived and died the blues
La promessa non fu chiara
S'erra solo impressa in me
Vidi solo il gelo dentro me
Quella notte dise a me
Vivrem comme cavalli
Liberi dai recinti di ferro
Che piu non voglio
Rinnegare i sensi
Su dai fuggiam
Vivrem comme cavalli
We're the victims of the heartbreak
That kept us short of breath
Trapped above these bloodless streets
Without a safety net
I stood in line to join the trial
One more customer of fate
Claimed a spoke in the wheel of the wagon train
On the road to the golden gate
Nel deserto la nave abbandonai
Per me aveva senso
Son stato troppo tempo nella bestia
Ed ora saro libero
Someday We'll live like horses
Free reign from your old iron fences
There's more ways than one to regain your senses
Break out the stalls and we'll live like horses
Someday
Liberi dai ricenti di ferro
Che piu non voglio
Rinnegare i sensi
Su dai fuggiam
Vivrem comme cavalli

This small falls at the lower Pond at the Portland Japanese Garden emits tranquility. The gurgle of the water falling, the ripples in the pond, the movement of the falls. No wonder it is called Heavenly Falls.

Dahlias are some of my absolute favorite flowers. They have this appeal about them, a mesmerizing beauty which makes you want to keep on looking at their beautiful geometric patterns and curved petals. Can't think of a better flower to celebrate spring. Can you?

"...*W*isdom comes only when you stop looking for it and start truly living the life the Creator intended for you." --Lelia Fisher, HOH
There are many things that block us from wisdom such as;selfishness, secrets, hate, anger, jealousy and judgments. Another thing that can block us from wisdom is trying too hard or wishing something would happen. Wishing implies doubt and trying implies control. We need to let go of these things. We need to abandon ourselves to the Creator. As soon as we surrender everything, the wisdom starts to flow. The Elders know how to help us with this. Just ask them. My Great Spirit, today I surrender my life and my will to Your care.
*Surrender* ~ song lyrics by Evanescence

Is this real enough for you
You were so confused
Now that you've decided to stay
We'll remain together
You can't abandon me
You belong to me
Breathe in and take my life in you
No longer myself only you
There's no escaping me, my love
Surrender
Darling, there's no sense in running
You know I will find you
Everything is perfect now
We can live forever
You can't abandon me
You belong me
Breathe in and take my life in you
No longer myself only you
There's no escaping me, my love
Surrender
...
Breathe in and take my life in you
No longer myself only you
There's no escaping me, my love
Surrender

*Sleeping Angel* ~ song lyrics by Stevie Nicks
www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgRP3g_ADz8
Take me if you need me
But never hold me down
You're asking me to trust you
Well there's little of that around
I'm trying to believe you
And I'm learning all the time
Two-part personality
The flower and the vine
Flower and the vine
Take me sleeping angel
Catch me when you can
Real love affairs are heavy spells
For a woman and a man
For a woman and a man
I need you because you let me breathe
Well you've taken me away
But never take me lightly
Or I could never stay
No I could never stay
Well, someday when we're older
And my hair is silver gray
A braid with all of the
love that you have
Like a soft silver chain
Whoa, someday when we're older
And my hair is silver gray
A braid with all of the
love that you have
Like a soft silver chain
Well, like a soft silver chain
Oh, take me sleeping angel
Oh, catch me when you can
And a braid with all the
love that you have
Like a soft silver chain

"The mind's eye changes the way we judge things." --Fools Crow, LAKOTA
"What you see is what you get." Our head has inside it a movie projector that projects out from our foreheads and shines on a screen a picture of our true thoughts. This is our reality. We can only see what we project (our beliefs). If we believe someone is a jerk, every time we see them we reflect our beliefs about what we think about that person and that is all we can see. Even if someone tells us this person is a kind, loving, caring, intelligent individual, we wouldn't be able to see it. If we change our belief about them, that person will change and so will our judgment about that person. My Creator, let me realize the power of choice. Let me see the advantages of changing my beliefs. Today, if I am judging my brother, let me change my beliefs to acceptance. If my thoughts are of anger, let me change them to love. Let my eyes only see you in everything and every person.
* How To Save A Life * ~ song lyrics by The Fray
www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmFi2snLr7o
Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life
How to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life

"In our language there is no word to say inferior or superiority because we are equal; it's a known fact. But life has become very complicated since the newcomers came here. And how does your spirit react to it?. It's painful. You have to be strong to walk through the storm. I know I'm a bridge between two worlds. All I ask is for people to wash their feet before they try to walk on me." --Alanis Obomsawin, ABENAKI
For native people who speak their language, English can be very confusing. Many times you cannot express in English the true meaning of Indian words. When we hear something in English we sometimes react or our spirit reacts. Sometimes we need to use English words out of order to express our true meanings. We need to be patient and pray. Living in two worlds can be difficult. Life is painful sometimes. The pain of life is where the lessons are learned.
Creator, let me learn the lessons You have taught my people.
