Emerald Lake, Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada
Once in a while I go down memory lane to find treasures hiding in the archives.
This is a strange photo of Emerald Lake without the lake. I thought the mountains and the bridge with the lodge contained enough interesting elements to stand on their own, even though omitting the most amazing body of water gave me pause.

Massive view of the Commes Des Garcons (one of my favorite Japanese fashion labels) store in Chelsea, NY. The building has the original signage "Heavenly Body Works" on top of the modern, space age cave like entrance into the store.
The store front is beautifully layered & decayed of years of Graffiti & various street artists from Judith Supine, Gaia, Billi the Kid, Elbowtoe to many other hidden beneath the layers.
Coriander seed, mustard seed and my favourite curry powder made by a local Indian family... these are the heavenly spices that go into the Indian Spiced Carrot Soup with Ginger. One of my favourite parts of making this soup is toasting the coriander and mustard seed in a pan and getting that first sweet whiff of exotic spice aroma released by the heat.
I use a recipe from Epicurious. It's easy and delicious (I use olive oil instead of peanut oil, add one diced potato, double the spices and sometimes add a bit of coconut milk for an even more exotic flavour): www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Indian-Spiced-Carro...

I was caught off guard but in the end was prepared enough to capture this image. Only spanning a 3-4 minute time during a long day, a beam of heavenly light brings an intimate moment to the lavishly beautiful Oneonta Gorge.

Heavenly Gardens - live your dream today.
This one has a touch of the dystopian to it. I didn't originally intend to go for the run down look but a lack of sand green tiles led me to mix in some olive green and I decided to go with it. The once state of the art complex has fallen into disrepair. One of the shops in the ground floor arcade is closed for good and garbage has piled up in the alley behind the building.
The build started off as an exercise in trying to build a freestanding exterior stair at this scale. I'm reasonably happy with the result. Though I couldn't come up with a compact way to represent the actual risers.
All Saints church, Jesus Lane, Cambridge
Detail from Our Lord Enthroned, by Edward Burne-Jones, 1866
From MY CHRISTMAS SET.
All Saints church was built for the Church of England in 1864 to the designs of the great George Bodley, perhaps the most consistently brilliant of all 19th century English church architects. It is a high Tractarian temple designed in the Decorated style, and is generally considered to be Bodley's masterpiece. Interior decoration includes the work of William Morris, Edward Burne-Jones, Ford Madox Brown, Charles Kempe and Frederick Leach.
For many years Cambridge's highest Anglo-catholic church, the congregation gradually dwindled as fashions changed and the population of the parish moved out to the big new housing estates. In 1973, All Saints was declared redundant.
Attempts were made to find a new use, but after three years none had been found. So, in keeping with the redundant churches legislation of the time, All Saints was scheduled for demolition.
There was a national outcry, and at the eleventh hour the church was saved, and vested in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust in 1981. Considerable restoration was needed, and the building was mothballed until the early years of the 21st century, when a massive programme of repairs was carried out, although the church still remained locked.
In 2007, theological students from neighbouring Westcott House began to care for the building, opening it to the public most days and using it for daily liturgies. The response of the public, and a renewed interest genrally in 19th Century churches, galvanised the CCT to the extent that a lot of money was spent in turning it into a somewhat controversial visitors centre, with movement-activated spotlights and voice commentary as you wander around, the first of which makes photography now very difficult, and the second of which is merely very irritating.
a heavenly tune in my brain this morning....i just can't seem 2 shake..soo gotta post a pic & da tune...hope ur morning is beautiful!

Is this the New Year or just another night?
Is this the new fear or just another fright?
Is this the new tear or just another desperation?
Is this the finger or just another fist?
Is this the kingdom or just a hit n' miss?
A misdirection, most in all this desperation
Is this what they call freedom?
Is this what you call pain?
Is this what they call discontented fame?
It'll be a day like this one
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
I'm singing this one like a broken piece of glass
From broken arms an' broken noses in the back
Is this the New Year or just another desperation?
You're pushing till you're shoving
You bend until you break
Till you stand on the broken fields where our fathers lay
It'll be a day like this one
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
There's nothing here worth saving,
Is no one here at all?
Is there any net left that could break our fall?
It'll be a day like this one
When the sky falls down and the hungry and poor and deserted are found
Are you discontented? Have you been pushing hard?
Have you been throwing down this broken house of cards?
It'll be a day like this one
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
When the world caves in
Is there nothing left now?
Nothing left to sing
Are there any left who hasn't kiss the enemy?
Is this the New Year or just another desperation?
Does justice never find you? Do the wicked never lose?
Is there any honest song to sing besides these blues?
And nothing is okay
Till the world caves in
Till the world caves in
Till the world caves in
Till the world caves in
Till the world caves in
Until the world caves in
Until the world caves in
Until the world caves in
Until the world caves in
Until the world caves in
Until the world caves in

Morning at Zion National Park, Utah, USA
This picture of the cliff at Zion was taken as part of a multiple-shot panorama which didn't turn out very well. But when I examined the individual shots, this one stood out. I would like to think this photo represents what I think is the most awe inspiring part of Zion--majestic, imposing, heavenly, gorgeous, graceful, unyielding and divine.
OK, I'll admit this is not my best work, but I am posting it for a couple of reasons. First, Matt G and I were trespassing in the dark, having gone over a barbed wire fence to get here because from the road we thought it was a rustic old shack...well, it wasn't really. Then, while we were taking the pic, a spotlight came on at the house in the distance, aimed directly at us and for a brief eternity, we expected to be fired upon - yes, hearts were racing. I think it was a motion activated beam in the end, but we were preparing to receive some buckshot in the rear. So reason #1 was that after all we went through to get the shot, it would've been a pity to so unceremoniously delete it on artistic merit alone..
Reason #2 - I used my handy O-GPS Astrotracer device which moves the sensor in the camera to follow the motion of the earth and allow longer than usual exposures without star streaking. The interesting effect of all this is that with a wide angle view, the moving clouds rendered as rays emanating outward from the shed. The O-GPS also allowed the clouds to render as long streaks while keeping the stars as points. OK, so next time I will take advantage of the effect. Until then, I present, "Heavenly Shed".
BTW, I purposely darkened the shed after seeing it was a newish, Home Depot special and not some decaying old structure.
Oh, and the original concept was to float the Milky Way along the roofline...it's there but by then the clouds had rolled over a little too thick.
2-minute exposure for the stars plus a 1 min exposure for the foreground using the Sigma 10-20

Hello! I'm Heather, and this year I am a sophomore. I absolutely love being outside and spending time with friends and family. This is one of my favorite photos because I love how the sunset lit up only parts of the rocks, and it reminds me of great memories with my family. I took this picture in Colorado Springs summer of 2016 with my iPhone.
the garden describes this as a representation of "one of the three most scenic spots in Japan where people ascend a hill and stand on a stone viewing the Heavenly Floating Bridge. the actual view is a spit of land in the Sea of Japan with pine trees growing throughout. when viewed upside down, it looks like the trees are floating in the heavens."
after reading this description i was inspired to actually hold the camera upside down. i think i was able to capture a different view through doing it this way instead of rotating the image in photoshop.

The sunsets on the island of Maui are unlike any that I have seen anywhere. The young lady on the water was being photographed by another photographer who was wading next to her. One could only assume she was a model on a photo shoot. The timing was perfect, and in my humble opinion she added a great deal to the composition and scenery. Not certain that my wife agrees with that, but what the hay. She just happened to be in the way of my camera. Hope you all enjoy.

The Denver Colorado Temple is the 40th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The LDS Church announced its plans to build a temple in Colorado on March 31, 1982. Almost two years later, Gordon B. Hinckley presided over the site dedication and groundbreaking. Hand-carved woodwork adorns the temple interior, along with hand-painted designs on the walls and ceilings. The temple also features more than six hundred square feet of specially designed stained glass windows. The temple is situated on a hilltop in Centennial (a suburb of Denver, next to Littleton) that was once part of a golf course and country club.
Many Latter-day Saints contributed what they could to the building and beautifying of the Denver Colorado Temple. Some made tatted cloths, children earned money and donated it for the building of three 'bride benches,' young men and women made and assembled a dollhouse to be used in the youth center, and more than six hundred volunteers cleaned the temple before the open house held 8–27 September 1986 .
President Ezra Taft Benson, then President of the Church, dedicated the temple on October 24, 1986. The Denver Colorado Temple has a total of 29,117 square feet (2,705 m²), four ordinance rooms, and six sealing rooms. (Wikipedia)

Oi meninas!
Todo mundo me pergunta onde eu comprei: na Meu Vício.
Usei:
1 x Base com Cálcio - Pink Love
2 x Gorgeous - Capricho
1 x Mão Boba - Impala
1 x Heavenly - Revlon
1 x TC da Impala
1 x TC Ideal
Beijos!

<< Revelation 3:11Revelation 3:12
1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this." 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.
<< Revelation 3:22Revelation 4:1-4
And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. 22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

We love the sun, for its warmth and light.
We love the moon for its brightness, but above all, we find it romantic? LOL
And the eerie light it creates at night.
The moon-scapes are everywhere...

Memories dance fancifully
what we did and what was said
bold and brilliant reminders
... beautiful like a sea of red
moments of time play in our mind
like flowers in a field
about good times or even bad times
emotions long since healed
they take us down a joyful path
when times were young and free
you can smell the baking cookies
or hear the laughter vividly
return you to when you were young
antics and games and fun
they can be full of instruction
what we've learned and done
often memories are wrapped around
beloved heroes who have passed
and they need to be revisited
to make the memories last
so cherish every memory
keep them as strong as the oak trees
they will keep a hero huggable
hand delivered heavenly peace.

The beautiful Venus and Helen from Homer's Iliad!
"Meantime the brightest of the female kind,
The matchless Helen, o'er the walls reclined;
To her, beset with Trojan beauties, came,
In borrow'd form, the laughter-loving dame.
(She seem'd an ancient maid, well-skill'd to cull
The snowy fleece, and wind the twisted wool.)
The goddess softly shook her silken vest,
That shed perfumes, and whispering thus address'd:"

Need to know
If you're letting go
It's alright,alright, it's alright
Didn't know
I was hurting you so
It's alright, alright, it's alright.
You came to me from nowhere
With nothing
And no-one
Hold tight, hold tight, hold tight
Goes to show
You never really know
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come
See me then
Investing so much
In you, in you, in you
Came so close
To the edge
I do, I do, I do
This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come
In the end
We let it go away
We let it float away
On the breeze
'Round the bend
The sun is in the sky
It's starting to look like
It's gonna be, yeah, it's gonna be
A bright
Beautiful day
Yeah, the good times gonna come, oh no
The good times gonna come, yeah, yeah,
This is just one of those
Lonely night
The good times gonna come, oh,
The good times gonna come, oh yeah
The good times gonna come, ohh
The good times gonna come, yeah.
Need to know if you're letting go
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
