After chasing the Quidditch Captain title for a few years, she was awarded the privilege. She headed to the Prefects Bathroom and approached the door. Saying the password she took a step inside. She glances about the bathroom and grins. The last time she had been here she had been a first year and was snuck in by her Quidditch Captain at the time. Now she entered the bathroom head held high. She was the Captain now.

Post-race brunch in Baltimore with the best cheering section in cyclocross!

Things are finally starting to happen again. The contractor is projecting a July 1st finish date.

Kim & Yvette finally get to troop together after starting their costumes back in April.

A lucky find as I was leaving Bug's Land in DCA.

118 Pictures in 2018 (Disneyland*) - #118. and finally...

* Pictures were taken with my iPhone during a single five-day trip to Disneyland and cover Disneyland, California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and the Grand Californian Hotel. While I will not be posting them to the group (saving that for the dogs) I had such a good time finding and taking them that I wanted to share.

Including these minifigures and the Simpsons House's popularity is just reaching the top. I think it's because those who were not into Lego are also very interested in this series...

It was a pain in the butt to get my hands on these guys. And after seeing these with my eyes, I could realize why these mfs are so much popular not only in Korea, but the whole world.

Amazing amount of details. Just exquisite. You gotta get this one if you like The Simpsons, even if you're not interested in Lego. Highly recommend buying one of these.

Hi All! All week long I have tried to upload things...including my echoes pieces, but could not upload anything for some weird reason. I was so disappointed. Anyway, we are now in Laredo...beach week is over. On to the next part of my trip...Austin. I do hope this week though I can get more photos posted.

Of Note: the desk/bed, the Moleskine (still trying to get some Field Notes), the NYT, and the excellent "On Writing Well" by William Zinsser.

2009.05.22. Samantha and Buffy had a good day today. They went for a ride in the truck. They were admired by other people. They had a bath. They were brushed. Finally, they came back home and were allowed to run and play in the yard. This is a slight moment of rest to see what I was doing. Then they started running around again. Adjusted colors and warmth in ACR. Crop, border and resize in CS4. DSC_4317 © 2009.

The last time Coldplay toured Australia, we were in London.

And before that, when we were in Australia, they were touring London.

Finally got to see them!! Yay!! And they played Strawberry Swing.....!

We purchased these tickets while on honeymoon. We were in a rather remote place called Ngakawau, where the only mobile reception you could get was if you crossed the road, walked onto the beach, and stood next to the Tasman Sea. The only public Internet access in town was via a slooowww computer in the corner of the local pub/cafe.

If you go far back enough in my profile, you will see that I've been on a mission as long as I've had this camera to get a good picture of a cardinal. After 5 or 6 years, I think I finally got it!

After so long period of cloudy and rainy days, nice with some sunshine.

In 1997 I started what was supposed to be a fairly simple project surveying bird usage of the Nanaimo River Estuary. Little did I know that this project would take almost 10 years to conduct the surveys, write the report, and get it published. I also never dreamed that I would end up nearly getting myself killed by angry poachers in the process.

While I was away doing field work this summer, it finally got published thanks to Neil Dawe's persistence, and the Nature Trust of BC's generosity. 127 pages of really boring bird stats. It's not the novel I imagined I might write someday back when I was 20 years old, but at least I survived to see it published.

Finally getting to appreciate the eastern side of the Mersey estuary which provides better lighting of incoming and outgoing ships in the morning light. Here Stolt Osprey is heading out with a backdrop of Perch Rock lighthouse and New Brighton.

Silly T-Munky - the spoon goes the other way! Our ice cream was sooooo good and, no, Arnold didn't jump in...that's cause Timmy is holding him back!

I went on a short trip today. First, to the Sugarloaf Mountain state recreation area inside the Sand Hills State Forest; where I climbed the 100ft (yes, puny, I know) hill there. It's the remains of an ancient range that had once been at the bottom of the Atlantic back when the Ocean came in much farther than today. That would be the reason it is located in what's known as the "Sandhills" region, and why the mountain is covered in sand (there are various exposed boulders around to let you know: this isn't just an ancient dune)

And then, a short drive to the Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge. Its mostly wetlands and pine forest, with ponds everywhere. And hiking trails. And this big lake here is called May's Lake. It had a few piers and a boat landing; and like with the entire refuge, I was the only living soul around.

Seriously, having all this beautiful nature around this area: A State Park, a State Forest, A State Recreational Area, and a National Refuge all within a few miles of each other. It was a beautiful day, the first mildly warm day since June. And despite all that, nobody was around. I don't get it: why don't people take advantage of all these resources around, all free of charge, and get out from in front of their tvs and computers and go the heck outside?!

Still, as always, I did enjoy the peace and quiet. And solitude.

Here are the photos of Addison's delivery day. Most of them were taken by MY HUSBAND (Chris) for obvious reasons.

The creature looked like a little tiger, and was angry and hungry.

Pinky brought a plate with milk and finally the creature became calm and friendly.

"Let's be friends (or you may become my pet if you wish)" - said Pinky. The cat was fawning.

Well, it was a beginning of a new relationship, I can say so. :)))

Sean, Patches and Joel man the Libertarians table GEL weekend. So hot they put is by the fire extinguisher

Ana can finally touch the ceiling.

Finally created some decent clothes for my girl, and also, finally decided on a name I really like for her. She arrived in december, but she's just now getting all put together X3

I also keep her in her heel feet, even without shoes.. :X Seems cuter and she still stands pretty well ^^;

So, this is Renee Hagarty (She goes by Ren, pronounced as Rin lol, because her stock name has been stuck in my head this entire time too :P might as well let her keep it then, since she's so insistent!)

Hope you like her!~

PS, not sure what she asking me for here either.. more clothes, shoes or a boyfriend ^^; hehe
