At long last, this quilt is finished and I love it! My daughter (check out her work at www.ohfransson.com ) machine-quilted it for me. I think that altogether the hand-embroidery, hand-applique, and hand-stitched binding took about 200 hours.
so we finally finished our thanks you cards form our wedding, that was a year and a month ago. we did most of them right after the wedding and then things kinda got away from us. it seems like after a year it starts getting close to the point that instead of people just getting them it reminds them of the fact that they are late.
oh well.
we were very thankful for all the love and support that people gave us at our wedding, so now they will know it.
okay so many of you may have noticed that i havent posted a single thing for a while. well the story is that my pc basically died. since then i've become a proud owner of a macbook pro. i'm happy the change is finally here and that i'll have a system that will work for what i need to do.
thankfully, my most recent shots have been backed up from the repair shop so they'll be saved.
unfortunately i wont have the cs4 design suite for a few weeks or so. that means still minimal to no posts on here :/ sorry to anyone who looks forward to my stream.
anyway, i'll be back in action in a few weeks and post some new shots for everyone to see!
much love
I've been back bascially six months, but with trips to several places in between and a whole lot of stress in between and during those. It's only been in the last week or so that I've finally felt I'm actually home again.
I finally got Lilylemons' block started for this month... As you can see, I decided to practice my applique again! I think (hope) it will turn out cute! I've taken a pattern from one of the fabrics... This will be my tribute block to our group, "Blocks of a Feather", even though there are no feathers on this critter ;-)
Surprisingly, the old-school ride had the longest wait time of all the rides. Speaking to the old-school car fascination of the mostly mainland Chinese clientele.

I went to London yesterday to do some photos for a good friend and also a very talented DJ. He goes by the name Finally Famous. He is getting 3-4 gigs a week all around southern ontario, mainly London area. If you are interested in House/Electro music and are in the London area be sure to check out one of his sets.

The Bay finally froze solid on Nov. 15, a full 2 weeks later than normal. Today (Nov 17) there are 3 inches of good ice and people are walking across.
