Every time I have to build a single speed, I think about how I should modify this base so I can just flip it in the jaws of the vise and keep the offset the same. Well... I took 35 minutes today and man was it worth it.
Finally! I found this Hello Kitty Magazine in my mailbox. They wrote me from Germany few months ago, asking me for permission to publish one of my photos in the German HK Magazine. They promised me to send one copy of the issue as soon as it would be published, so here it is (^ - ^) My photo is on the page 30 (see next picture)

#209 Illegal and lots of fun. I did this while waiting to start a mural at the International Women's day Festival in Buenos Aires. People gathered around while I did it which got me nervous about a guard noticing what I was doing. But it was fine- I didn't get caught...
we drove all the way from Tromsø and "home" to our parents at the south west coast. and then all the way back. on the return, it was a really good feeling to get up here again; we love the light, the nature, the mountains!

I finally got Lenny back together, i have been having a little go here and there, but always re doing everything, made her a lot of work.
I am finally happy with her, although she seems to have the hump with me lol, probably being in bits for about a year poor thing.
When I told them they couldn't come to the hockey game they got mad and ran away. They've only just come back. Longest pout in recorded history, y'all.
I gave them a stern talking-to, about not running off without leaving a note, but then I forgave them. How could I not?
It seems like spring finally came today. Puddles and puddles everywhere. I'm so lucky I have friends who let me photograph them. I've been so spoiled lately that I don't know what I will do when I have to take photos of my random object collections.
Lugs for Bruce's track frame are finally in. Hot off the UPS truck - 5 mins ago.
Work starts tomorrow.
The water caught up to us, now is time to move on.
Today I did a motorcycle ride with Chris to the Sandias and then north on the desert during a rain storm.
Emily, Emily, Emily ... what a sweet pitbull and yet no home. Here is an update from one of our volunteers that had the pleasure of taking Emily for an outing: Emily what a sweetie, we went for a walk at Bolton Notch which we all enjoyed. She wanted to play, play & play with Max, our male dog. Max only wanted to play for so long but Emily would have played all day. I would pull her away from Max and get her re-directed and she would easily move onto something else. After the walk I took Emily to our home for a visit. She loved the car ride. She was very good in the yard and in the house by herself without Max, curiously sniffing all the new scents. In the home she calmed way down. She went to sniff our cat very slowly who was sleeping on a chair and the cat swatted at her and she walked away. From then on she had no interest in the cat. Emily seems to listen and do what is asked of her. My thoughts are she would do best in a house as the only dog, if there was another dog the other dog would have to want to play 24/7. She seems to do well with cats. Another good signal I noticed was we were outside and Max started to bark at something and she did not react or copy him. She just looked as if to say what are you barking at. She is definitely house trained. She will be happy just being with her person which would include someone who can give her for plenty of exercise and love. She is our little miss sunshine! If you are interested in adopting Emily, please file an on-line application at www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, vet reference check and home visit required.
Please comment so we know what you think of this awesome girl!
Finally we arrived at Sape, the last harbour for Flores. The next ferry boat will be at 9 AM, so we got time to relax and rest at Mutiara Losmen just next to the harbour.

For those of you who don't know, my library branch currently operates out of a trailer. Mind you, it's a very nice trailer, generously provided by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, but it's still a trailer.
The building was destroyed in Katrina, torn down a couple of years ago, and although the official groundbreaking on the new one was about 6 months ago, no other work had been done.
Until this week!
Now the piles are driven and every day there's new work to see. Within a year, the new Smith Branch should be finished!
I'm documenting the progress here, on our Facebook page.
