I have found a new place to live in Vancouver.
Little Nest is a 3 month old cafe On Charles at Commercial run by Mary, an expat
Melbournian.
They have good coffee _&_ good food (Which I have had trouble finding nin Vancouver)
They bring food to your table.
They bring you a glass of water.
They serve coffee with a teaspoon. (They have 8oz glasses :)
Mary used to manage Hairy Canary (a long time ago). Needless to say, if you need to find me on Saturday before polo or on Sunday (all day) Now you know where I'll be.
The City of Saskatoon finally completed the resurfacing of 22nd Street West between Witney Avenue North and Circle Drive after three days. First, they repainted the lines before resurfacing. Then, they removed the old asphalt of two lanes. Then, they did the same to yhe other side of street, removing freshly-laid asphalt in the process. I'm pretty sure that some private firm could have done the same thing in a much more efficient manner.

A happy graduate. Notice all the tassels. Katy had numerous tassels around her neck representing the nursing dept, her Summa Cum Laude standing, the National Nursing Honor Society, and the Hope volunteer organization.
Finally caught the Eider in good light! I went to find the adult male in Port Weller in February. I waited and waited, then I looked and looked with no luck. Recently I went through my photos from that day and the dam thing was right in front of me at one point.... It would have been too far off to get a good shot anyway.
I think this might be the best layout I have done, did alot of stuff to it!

After way too many bureaucratic delays, the new One World Trade Center is now more than 600 feet above street level.
My second painted lady of the year and the first to sit still long enough for me to get a shot of it.
Hi All! All week long I have tried to upload things...including my echoes pieces, but could not upload anything for some weird reason. I was so disappointed. Anyway, we are now in Laredo...beach week is over. On to the next part of my trip...Austin. I do hope this week though I can get more photos posted.

Finally finished my embroidery project while I was away! Yay :) it was lovely crafting in the sun on the rooftop in Brisbane and I'm so excited to finally frame this later today for my friend... nordkapp.. the northernmost point of europe... after 5335 kilometers from tabor (czech republic) we reached our destination, some people did not believe that our old vw t3 will manage it, but we did!! great car, by the way... moreover the weather was unbelievable.. no clouds, no wind... indescribable feeling
this poor quilt top has been sitting for a few weeks just looking sad, waiting to be basted. i finally sucked it up tonight and did it in about an hour. hopefully i can quilt it tomorrow night....
i love love love this line of fabric. luckily, i way overbought :)
ALSO--any thoughts on quilting? i am leaning towards haphazard curving lines...sort of long and arching. it looks pretty and it's fast....
