Finally got my sweetie home! She is unnamed as of now; still need to find something that suits her...
Finally some Pyrex at my thrift today. Verde divided, plus an extra lid. Also, big haul of
Wildflower Corelle, and a Country Festival casserole.
I had my 30% off stamp card full and was just waiting for a decent haul to use it on!
Finally got a bit of sun here on the island over the weekend. I stopped on the way back from the aquarium to take some seascapes.

I don't know how many years I have been waiting for a shot of a Robin in 'proper' snow. Last night we had almost a whole inch of the white stuff (which for the Purbeck is a blizzard) and for a bonus, today was a good walking day.
Finally arrived today... Just in time for my MontrealéQuebec Trip next week. Impressive details from this add on. Is quite nice that you can do macro also with this add on.

I actually completed this puzzle bar the last piece around 2 months ago! But, I didn't look for the missing piece particularly hard since I'd ended up with an extra piece (that was a double), and figured that it was probably messed up somehow during packaging. So, I just felt a bit disgruntled and thought about writing to the manufacturer to see if anything could be done about the missing piece, put the puzzle away under the coffee table (feeling a little frustrated that it wasn't finished, but I couldn't quite bear the thought of breaking it up when I hadn't completed it!), and then promptly forgot all about it!
Happily though, the missing piece did turn up from hiding under a sofa! And so today, I finally placed it! Two months too late, but it's still satisfying to have finished the stupid thing! ;)
Now to put it back in the box... :)
I got my two LaCie mobile hard drives today!!!!! one is a 320GB for personal use and the other is 500GB for school, and they have such a cute design too! I also used my new Vivitar wireless remote to take the photo.
Yay for new gear!
It has been weeks since I had seen water it seems. The streams, waterfalls, and even the lakes had been completely frozen. A couple warmer days started to thaw things out faster than I expected.

We got the letter the other day, but I didn't want to post it until I was able to talk to the place building it to confirm they too had recieved this letter. So now, she has an appointment on Thursday @ 10 AM (ugh cause it's 2 hours away to boot) for her to get measured for this. Her PT seems to think it will take about a month from then measurement to get the RGO in and then she'll have to be fitted and the brace ajusted (all done in one day). Then we'll be able to take it home, and her PT will put her in it, give her a set of wheels (walker) and get her started!!!!!! I can't wait until my Flikcr feed is full of her walking!! :D
New sneakers... at last! I have a love/hate relationship with shoes... so we'll have to see how this turns out.
I cast to this fish for nearly an hour. He would nibble the fly then spit it out before I could set the hook, this happened four or five times and I would have to change the fly after each bite because he would refuse it the next time, but on the fifth or sixth time I got a solid hook set and he lead me on a forty yard run down stream, then up, then back down again before I finally was able to land him. smart and tough fish.
the better version of that last cell phone picture.
We're back at home now, so no more pillow fort. It's a tough life.
What a long day. Finally I can put my feet up!
I met with various fabulous friends today, talked to a few on the phone, got a couple of nice emails, and bought some groovy cupcakes. Came home to find these gorgeous sunflowers from a surprising source. You'll never guess who. No, seriously, you'll never guess who.
The card said, "I like your attitude."
Life is good.
Okay, I don't know why, but it took me so freakin' long to get a stupid sun ray. Like I know, you just point the camera towards the sun, but I don't know if it's the portrait lens or something but it was just tough.

Every time I have to build a single speed, I think about how I should modify this base so I can just flip it in the jaws of the vise and keep the offset the same. Well... I took 35 minutes today and man was it worth it.
