A view from the train looking towards Launceston Station in the first days of operation. Trains were operating push-pull fashion with the single MER replica toast rack carriage being pulled to the then rail head and then propelled back. No raised platform existed at this time nor run round loop. COVERTCOAT sits at the top of the zig zag which gives access to the works and museum building.

I ended the beautiful day at the elevated track near Hrastovlje, almost halfway the climb from Koper to Črnotiče. The RG1604 to Maribor and Budapest was followed by an uphill container train. It is seen here at the entrance of Hrastovlje station, which is today only served by a bus service. Above the train, on the other side of the valley, the tracks cut through the steep hills. The train will be there in only a few minutes.

150213 and 150262 stand at Cardiff Central on 19th July having just arrived with the 1Z38 1845 Builth Road to Cardiff Central service. This was the return working of a special train conveying passengers to the Royal Welsh Show at Builth Wells. Both outward and return workings had travelled via the Swansea District Line.

It was a beautiful spring evening that I wanted to enjoy until the end, before the 2 hour drive back home. So I watched the sun set, the occasional passing train covering it. A quiet, enjoyable moment to finish an intensive day full of discoveries.

After dropping a single loaded soy car at the west end of the siding, a SLR local out of Richmond is getting ready to lift 5 empty cars and head back east. Distribution Upton operates a busy transloading facility that mostly handles propane and grain products, and is usually served by the Richmond-Southwark road freight. Consist : SLR 3804, SLR 805.
SNCF: a train of locomotives, with several Class BB 9200, through Versailles-Chantiers station. Is headed by the BB 9272.
The Class BB 9200 consisted of 92 electric locomotives for passenger trains on direct current lines (1,500 V). They were built by Creusot-Loire, Jeumont-Schneider and CEM and put into service between 1957 and 1964. The last locomotive of the series was decommissioned in 2015.

La BB 22308, revêtue de sa livrée "En Voyage", assure un IC TER reliant Marseille-St-Charles à Nice-Ville avec sa rame réversible régionale. La rame s'imobilise en gare de Toulon, premier arrêt commercial du parcours.
A 5-car RATP Paris Metro train comes off the very impressive Viaduc d'Austerlitz over the River Seine with a line 5 train between Quai de la Rapée and Austerlitz stations. The bridge and line were opened in 1905.

A Great Western Railway high speed train (HST) is seen working the 1L34 0744 Port Talbot Parkway to London Paddington service. The HST is approaching Pilning station having climbed the incline from the Severn Tunnel. Forty years after they were introduced on the Western Region of British Rail, the HSTs still make a striking sight, and look as modern now as they did in the 1970s.

Na een uitzonderlijk jaar eindelijk weer tijd voor de fotohobby!
Vanwege de hoge temperaturen van vandaag, maar een verfrissende foto geplaatst. Eén van de weinige uitstapjes waar het afgelopen jaar tijd voor was, voerde op 12 februari jl. naar de nabij mijn woonplaats gelegen Eempolder.
Op 1 februari 2021 werd de eerste grote groep Stads-Gewestelijk-Materieel (SGM) terzijde gesteld. Dit betrof vijf twee-wagenstellen en twintig drie-wagenstellen. Daardoor verdween er per die datum het SGM-materieel op veel trajecten. Zo ook op de Gooilijn waar de inzet van SGM-materieel jarenlang een vaste waarde is geweest.
Winterweer ontregelde vanaf 8 februari het treinverkeer. Nadat aanvankelijk het treinverkeer in het geheel werd stilgelegd, werd er vanaf 10 februari weer gereden met het treinmaterieel dat op dat moment voorhanden was. Zo kwam SGM-materieel op 12 februari weer in actie op de Gooilijn en kon er zodoende voor de laatste keer met Stads-Gewestelijk-Materieel naar de Keistad worden gereisd.
De eerste terzijdestelling van het SGM-materieel is aan de treinstellen 2966 en 2980 voorbij gegaan. De foto toont de rond de veertig jaar oude treinstellen, wanneer deze met een gangetje van zo’n 115 km/u als trein 15847 door een winterse Eempolder rijden. Over enkele minuten zal Amersfoort worden bereikt, waarna de trein doorrijdt naar de eindbestemming Amersfoort-Vathorst.
Aan het einde van de dag zouden de treinstellen terecht komen op het opstelterrein Amersfoort-Bokkeduinen, waarna zij de volgende dag een aantal diensten tussen Utrecht en Hoofddorp zouden rijden. Daarna restte voor de treinstellen nog een aantal maanden dienst tussen Den Haag C en Dordrecht; de laatst overgebleven treinserie waar SGM werd ingezet.

Great Western Railway's 1B15 0845 London Paddington to Pembroke Dock services is seen at journey's end on Saturday 23rd July 2016. It will return to London Paddington at 1450 as 1L90. Great Western Railway operate two services from Pembroke Dock to London Paddington on summer Saturdays, with one eastbound working from Paddington, and one service starting from Swansea. The 1450 departure for Paddington will serve all stations on the rural Pembroke Dock branch to Whitland.
We had to clean the two electric machines for services on Sunday.
I was allowed to ride on the Buchli machine with André when shunting both machines over to another track.
Both locomotives manned with a driver and under power.
And you might notice how shiny 11407 is.
(EN) In the early evening of 25/05/2014. the railcar 7121 030 as regional train 3131 from Djurmanec to Zabok is running through the fields and marshes near Strucljevo. In few minutes, the DMU will reach the junction Zabok, where trains to Varazdin and Zagreb will be connected. About half an hour later it will go backwards to bring home a lot of schoolchildren and employees after a long working day.
(DE) Am frühen Abend des 25.05.2014. dieselte der Triebwagen 7121 030 als Regionalzug 3131 von Djurmanec nach Zabok durch die Felder und Sümpfe in der Nähe von Strucljevo. In Kürze wird der VT den Taktknoten Zabok erreichen, wo Anschluss an die Züge nach Varazdin sowie Zagreb besteht. Eine gute halbe Stunde später geht es für ihn dann wieder zurück, um als abendlicher Bummelzug zahlreiche Schüler und Erwerbstätige nach einem langen Arbeitstag endlich nach Hause zu bringen.

We had moved our Ae 3/6 I to the roundhouse last weekend.
Simple reason is that we necessary gear there to dismount axles.
So the first axle was from the Bissel truck. It was a serious team work with multiple steps.
The whole work was rather dirty as the bearings were still full of water and oil.
Chemin de fer à vapeur des Trois Vallées (CFV3V): this association operates a tourist railway between Mariembourg and Treignes, in a stretch of 14 km on the line 132. This line was put into service between 1852 and 1854. The passenger service was suspended in 1963, and the freight service in 1971. The first tourist trains ran between Nismes and Treignes in 1976 and from Mariembourg in 1977. The association CF3V has a workshop in Mariembourg (with the last turntable in service in Belgium) and a museum in Treignes.
IIn the workshops of Mariembourg, the old French diesel shunter number Y 6502 of SNCF. It was part of a series of 227 vehicles built for SNCF by De Dietrich, Decauville and SNCF itself between 1954 and 1958.
De twee keerlussen in de ‘Bergstrecke’ zorgen voor de Z-vorm van het tracé van de Mariazellerbahn om zodoende over een korte hemelsbrede afstand zoveel mogelijk hoogte te winnen.
Eén van de twee keerlussen bevindt zich vlakbij het station van Winterbach. Hier loopt het spoortracé door een scherpe insnijding in de rotsen. De Mariazellerbahn is uitgevoerd als een smalspoorlijn met een spoorbreedte van slechts 760 mm. Hierdoor zijn krappe bogen mogelijk.
Op de foto wurmt de trein zich door de 180-graden keerlus. Het smalle spoor en krappe boog (hier met een straal van slechts 100 meter) is hier duidelijk te zien.
