SNCF Mobilités: a Class B 82500 BMU, also known as BGC or Bibi (bimode-bicourant, type AGC, number 81806/81805) arrives at the Marseille-St-Charles station, working a regional train.
CN's biweekly Matagami-Senneterre train is approaching the forestry road 1055 public crossing at mile 39 of the 60-mile long Matagami subdivision, which runs from the town of Matagami to a connection with the Chapais subdivision at Franquet, about 10 milles north of Lebel-sur-Quévillon. Note the very dark ballast mostly made of smelter slag. Consist : CN 4795, GMTX 2252.

A late-running Moncton-Toronto manifest grinds west through Drummondville with a single GEVO up front and another one mid-train. On the left is the VIA Rail station and in the background is the Drummondville Anglican church. Consist : CN 2971, CN 3213 (mid-train).
After some delay at the east end of Sainte-Rosalie siding due to a last minute itinerary change, CN's geometry train is back on the move west behind SD70i No. 5601. After a long afternoon testing the sidings on the Drummondville subdivision, they still have to test the north track all the way to Taschereau yard before they can call it a day.

Chemin de fer à vapeur des Trois Vallées (CFV3V): this association operates a tourist railway between Mariembourg and Treignes, in a stretch of 14 km on the line 132. This line was put into service between 1852 and 1854. The passenger service was suspended in 1963, and the freight service in 1971. The first tourist trains ran between Nismes and Treignes in 1976 and from Mariembourg in 1977. The association CF3V has a workshop in Mariembourg (with the last turntable in service in Belgium) and a museum in Treignes.
The 2-6-2T steam locomotive 64 250. It was part of a series of 520 locomotives of the Class 64, built by several German manufacturers between 1928 and 1940 for the DRG. Known as "Bubikopf", they were intended for the towing of passenger trains on secondary lines. The 64 250 was acquired by the CF3V in 1986, in a state of scrap, being put back into service in 1993 after its restoration.

SNCF: a Class Z 5300 EMU leaves Villeneuve-Saint-Georges station, working a Transilien commuter train.
The Class Z 5300 consisted of 145 three and four-car EMUs for direct current lines (1,5 kV), built by Carel-Fouché, MTE/Francorail,
Fives-Lille and Oerlikon between 1965 and 1975, for the commuter train services. The last EMU of this Class ran in 2018.
After making its mandatory stop at the non-interlocked crossing of the CN Valleyfield subdivison and CSX's Montreal subdivision, CN 538 resumes its journey towards the CEZ spur wye and the interchange tracks. Consist : CN 4787, CN 4014.
