La BB 7345 était en tête avec les BB 7417 et 7425 CV d’un Saint Jory - Miramas, de passage à Manduel, dans le pays Nîmois. Le 10 Juillet 2017.
The club is renovating this private machine in each detail. A member made me aware of the bronze frames around the windows. He said that this would be a nice additional touch to leave them in this natural way - but historically this would be wrong. So they will be painted over again.
Today the part of Belgium where I live saw some snow. That's a rather rare thing, so after work I went out to shoot an evening rush hour train. Hoping for a vintage 21 series, but this new 18 series loco also worked well. 20 minutes delay was all that I needed to get it at the blue hour. The platforms of the station will be modernized this year so this may have been the last opportunity to get this specific photo.
The photo was taken while the train was still moving, at a very high ISO. A lot of post-processing noise reduction did the trick.

Venant de quitter la gare de Cruchten, cette série 2000 des CFL en UM 2 sont photographiées sous une belle luminosité hivernale au train RB (Regionalbunn) 3638 Diekierch : 13h50 > Luxembourg : 14h38. Il est possible de voir des UM 3 sur ce parcours... Il est à noter que cette liaison est le terrain de jeu de cette série du moins pour le moment...
Encouraged by the previous train, I explored the line further. A bit further in Flandersback I came upon the view below. Trains were coming from the opposite side than what I was hoping, so I settle with a lonely engine... for now, because it seems this line sees quite some traffic: a future visit is only a matter of time.

Coronavirus Foam: The Mile 42 Chronicles, part VII. CN and CP have moved a record amount of grain this winter, with exports at a historical high. On a beautiful, mild February afternoon, I shot an empty CN train returning from Québec City flying down mile 42 of the Saint-Hyacinthe subdivision. Consist : CN 2917, CN 2586.

The 11801 goes down the South Gotthard, approaching Polmengo (near Faido). It has just exited the Prato Tunnel (circular tunnel, 1567 m) and passes by the short Broscerina Tunnel that spans only one track.

It was truly a change to see 8512 again under steam.
Typically for these shunters, there is a chain with hooks attached to the front to move cars also on neighbour tracks - which is not done anymore today.
Just in the background is the only standard gauge cog steam locomotive of Switzerland - in operational conditions.

le Chemin de fer des Chanteraines, une ligne construite à la suite de l'ouverture du parc départemental à Villeneuve la Garennes dans les Hauts-de-Seine.
Locomotive 030 T 6 Decauville n°1770 de 1920, monument historique Classé MH (2003)
Ouvrage d'art ferroviaire de la ligne d'Albi à Rodez.
Il est situé sur les communes de Tauriac-de-Naucelle (Aveyron) et Tanus (Tarn). Il franchit la vallée du Viaur.
Construit de 1895 à 1902. Ingénieur : Paul Bodin (1848-1926) de la Société de construction des Batignolles.
Longueur : 460 m
Portée principale : 220 m
Hauteur : 116 m au-dessus de la rivière
Le temps passe vite et il est donc l’occasion de ressortir une photo qui a presque 9 ans.
Février 2016, la BB 22258 RC quitte la gare de Nice-Ville avec ses RRR à destination de Menton.
L’époque inox sur la Côte d’Azur allait bientôt toucher à sa fin avec l’arrivée des rames Régio2N.
Cette machine, comme ses sœurs, ont donc par la suite étés mutées pour certaines en Grand-Est, et dans les Hauts-De-France pour les autres.
La 22258 RC est d’ailleurs redescendue dans sa région d’origine il y a peu. Ce qui m’a donnée l’idée de publier ce petit cliché souvenir.

CN's daily Garneau-La Tuque turn skirts the rocky shores of lake Masketsi near mileboard 83 of the La Tuque subdivision, some 10 miles north of Hervey-Jonction, with a pair of toasters leading 4 cars. This job's role is to serve the massive WestRock paper plant in the city of La Tuque, which lies 42 track miles ahead. Look closely and you will see the engineer wearing a mask. Consist : CN 3144, CN 2967.

A last picture with the reservoir in the background. A passenger trai from Taourirt to Fès passes over a bridge near Al Mwalda Ouled Ayad.
After this picture we would head further east. Hoping to find DF-100 diesels hauling freight between Nador and Taourirt.
