Well the last time I went to a Lego store was the summer of 2008 in downtown Chicago on vacation. So now that there is one that is a little closer to my house (close being 2.5 hours) and now that we have a decent running car I finally got to the Lego store!
I mostly just got a lot of brown plates for my 457th build
Gray because I use that a lot in builds and just some random stuff.
I got Mace Windu's starfighter, more series 5 minifigs, pick a brick bag, and a brick separator. Pretty good trip!
I paid for this all myself so don't think I'm a spoiled brat or anything

For those of you wondering where the whole flavored coffee drink plague started, look no further. The very first Starbucks opened in 1971 at Seattle’s own Pike Place Market. Here, a street band entertains in front of store-1 while soon-to-be coffee quaffers stand in a long line in hopes of obtaining there favorite, glorious hot brew.

If you like fresh seafood and in particular oysters, make the trek up the Pacific Coast Highway to the Marshall Store in Marshall, CA, a "general store" alongside the highway that offers the lowest keyed and most delicious dining experience you'll likely ever experience on par with the crustiest lobster shacks in Maine.
Feel free to bring your own bottle of wine or beer to accompany your meal, just know that you'll be eating on the tables provided along the side of the road as they do not have a liquor license that allows consumption on the premises. But given that there is much more room for diners along the side of the road than on the premises, I'm guessing that more people tend to enjoy a beverage or two while slurping down the oysters and the other delectables from the sea in their order than those go without such lubrication. If anything, you'll make new friends.
4everyoung is an actual regional store with several locations: 4everyoung.us.com/slocator.html. It's been in the mall since at least 2000, making it one of the few remaining tornado survivors.
I didn't look up the other "known" store brand here: milano menswear, nor did I get a picture of that store, due to running afoul of mall security who frowned upon my picture taking before I could make it to that end of the mall! Milano was also here in 2000 (although in a different location than it's current front perch), making it and 4everyoung possibly the last two pre-tornado stores left after Sears closes.
There's also a "4everyoung plus" showing on the 2006 map at suite 132, at the start of the Macy's corridor. I'm uncertain if it's still in business since I didn't make it to the Macy's wing.

ESL107 was a Electric Sleet Locomotive originating from 1903, and built by Metro-Carriage/Birmingham (original LPTB numbers 3944/3981). Eighteen were built at Acton Works, with each one being formed of two 1903 ex Central London Railway driving motor cars placed back to back to form a double-ended locomotive. It is pictured in the London Transport Museum Store, in Acton, on October 10th 2009. Its role was de-icing the overground track. ESL107 was based at Northfields in 1977.
Updated photos taken on January 15,2010. of the shopping center at the corner of La Brea and Rodeo in Los Angeles, California. The Baldwin Hills area.
Well, the economy must have really tanked, Big Lots pulled the plug on this store, which only operated a few years at this location. Its last tennant was a Savon Drug Store (see below). The parking lot was always crowded and it is located at a very busy intersection with high visability. Big Lots closed on 1/14/2010. Photo of interior of former Big Lots Store.
This shopping center has been through several transformations over the years. Originally the center contained: a SAFEWAY SUPERMARKET, a CLARK DRUGS AND a JJ NEWBERY (a.k.a. Newberrys) Store. When SAFEWAY left this site, the store was converted to Clark Drugs. When Sav-on Drug Stores took over Clark Drugs, the site became a Sav-on Drug Store. Finally Sav-on built a new store across the street. Pic N Save Stores took over the former Sav-on site. Finally, the corporate parent of Pic N Save changed its name and this store is now known as Big Lots.
In the middle was a Clark Drug, which relocated to the SAFEWAY Supermarket site as it was originally in the center section of the main shopping center. The movement of the stores was the result of a major renovation of this shopping center. The renovation occurred around the the 1970s. The SAFEWAY now Big Lots Store is on the far left.
In the center of the original main shopping center was Clarks. Then JJ Newberry took over the Clark Drug Store Site. After JJ Newberry closed down in the late 1990s, the store sat vacant until a small retail chain Treasure Hunt Stores took over.
Lastly, on the far right was a former JJ Newberry Store. This site converted to a BOYS Supermarket. When the BOYS Supermarket's corporate parent Yucaipa took over the Ralphs Grocery Company, mid 1990s, this store became a Ralphs Supermarket. It was remodeled in 2000+.
There is also a McDonalds Restaurant on the corner.
This shopping center located directly across from several retail centers including an Albertsons Supermarket and a Rite Aid Pharmacy with a Del Taco on another corner. CVS Pharmacy is on another corner. The CVS Pharmacy, former Sav-on Drug Store is a stand alone building. On the last corner is a row of shops, eating places, and buildings. Those shops include KFC Chilcken, Payless Shoe Source, etc. One of the buildings in this row of shops was a former Thriftimart Supermarket. It has gone through a series of tenants, including Wherehouse Music, etc.
As a last note, this entire corner was flooded when the Baldwin Hills Dam failed in 1963, but that is another story.

Ok guys if you have not been to this store you all need to go and look at it!!!!!
There were four of five of this set that I really wanted. I did find number 3 a few years ago at a decent price, but no luck with the others. Just one of the sets I liked was over $40. Then, I was looking for some other Re-ment set last week, and came across this full set listed as "used" because three of the packages had been open and displayed. It was an auction, so I decided to bid, since the cheapest full sets have been listed for quite some time at $208! Ugh. Not happening. I didn't have anything to lose by bidding, so I did, and weirdly, I won! $36 is what I paid for the full set of 10, most of which had never been opened. I don't understand what some of the things are; they aren't familiar products. Much of the writing is Japanese, but some is in English, and with recognizable products. All in all, it was definitely worth it!
Started adding more roofing using material from Builders In Scale.
Tried a bit of shadow with an old model tree I had.
