Built in 1902, this was originally Brown's Grocery. It is now a restaurant as well as a general store. This shot was through the windshield so it lacks clarity.
300/365: So, I had to go to the Apple Store this morning, because my MacBook Pro crashed again and wasn’t booting up at all. This is very likely to the graphics card issue with 2011 15″ MBPs. I’ve had the same issue pretty much exactly one year ago. I got a new logic board back then (for free), but now the problem returned. Luckily, I got a spontaneous appointment at the store in the early afternoon. So they checked it, and now my laptop is in repair with them. I signed up for a “business-membership” for a year, mainly to get priority-repair and a replacement-machine in the meantime. And now I have to deal with a German kezboard layout for at least a week. I went to a few garage sales today, but it was a bust. I found a ton of minty Monter High dolls, but I'm not collecting them. Must have been an adult because all of the accessories were still attached and they were fairly recent dolls, I think. I could not go until the afternoon and I know I missed out on a few good things this morning.
These are a few recent doll scale items from 2 local thrift stores. Victoria (my new Barbie) is just there for scale and she is taking inventory.
Background: A water color that I will use as a winter background for Barbie scale dolls. It is hand painted by a local person. Could be a good dollhouse window scene, too.

The Toy Store is packed with all kinds of toys. A large Star Destroyer is the centre piece, and the shelves are filled iwth Lego sets, RC cars & trucks, a giant model steam locomotive and all kinds of other stuff.

Spotted outside the store today before we opened. I managed to get the paint off with a razor without damaging the glass. But seriously, if you are going to tag an Apple store, be a bit more creative and less retarded.
This store caters for graffiti artists. We were surprised and didn't think you'd get away with that in London or New York.
This colonial style store sits on the main street of Okato, Taranaki, NZ. The veranda serves as a shelter for people waiting at the bus stop.
The faded livery on the top of the building says -

According to The Cyclopedia of New Zealand [Taranaki, Hawke's Bay & Wellington Provincial Districts] (published in 1908), this business was once known as "The Okato Post Office, Telegraph Office and Telephone Bureau", and was operated by James Smith Fox as the district Post Office. They sold groceries, ironmongery, boots and shoes, grain, manures, etc.

Camptown Store--the front portion with the porch is the store part, attached to the home. The store has been out of business for several years now. I don't know when this collapse happened. Located in the area of Charlotte County, Virginia known as Aspen.

This grocery store paints seasonal designs on their windows. I noticed last Saturday they have new ones for October. I think the jack-o-lantern is pretty cute!
