On this day where my wife and I went antiquing through a whole series of shops this store at the end of the day was the most nicest and impressive of the bunch and unlike such stores several decades ago or in Europe today to some degree you can see with most American antique dealers these days it's a very heavy emphasis on Americana and not European items such as fancy chandeliers, vases or statues of cherubs which are considered as just tacky and gaudy by most younger buyers and just don't sell much anymore.

This photo was taken in 1980 with a Pentax K1000 and a SMC Pentax-M 50mm f2. I went to Brussels to visit my dying grandfather. This a corner store on his street.
I have hundreds of slides from that trip. I cleaned them up a bit. So this a pic of that slide with a Sony 7RII and Helios 44-2, extension tubes with the slide on a iPad for the BG lighting.
The last of my interpretation of the Pixie Store in Clayton, New Mexico. I love the colors and the "O".

It's potato delivery day at the old Georgetown General Store in South Australia's mid-north. The old farmer has gone in to rustle up some crates to load them in while another hopeful local is looking to do a deal and get them straight from truck to trunk!
This is one of those wonderful old country town general stores where you could buy almost anything, and still appears to be in business today.

A history of Adams County published in 1908 contains a photo of this establishment. It was the Davis & Yake General Store, one of several businesses in the thriving town of Lamona, Washington. Lamona was founded in 1892 by John Lamona. It prospered for many years, but few of the original structures are left. There is a more modern occupied residence nearby. I am not sure if this building is occupied or not. The only sign of recent attention to the building are the Halloween decorations by the front door. The windows are still in the original configuration, including the oval second story windows.

The grocery store where we shop has a beautiful, raised atrium roof which lets a lot of natural light into the store, making the shopping experience more pleasant.
The other day I realized it would make for an interesting photograph, so I took a couple of minutes to take a few shots with my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The blue sky and white clouds can be seen through glass windows on the periphery of the 14-segmented roof structure.
It is located in the center of the store and is probably 40 feet above one's head.
