Open-air museum Hagen, Westfalen, Germany. A romantic situated museum at the small stream Mäckingerbach" with a lot of ancient frame houses and workshops to visit. It offers interesting views of the interior of these buildings, most of the shops are still working showing old craftmanship.
Kolonial-und Gemischtwarenladen (ca. 1. Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts)- Freilichtmuseum Hagen des Landschaftsverbands Westfalen-Lippe. Im Tal des Mäckingerbaches idyllisch gelegen, bietet es Rundgänge durch zahlreiche original wiederaufgebaute Werkstätten und Fachwerkhäuser. In der Mitte an Mühlteichen gelegen befinden sich noch mehrere Mühlen und Schmieden.
This Great Blue Heron appears as though it has a pensive look, maybe contemplating all the good fish and chip meals it took from this small lake near our town.
Its daydreams won't last much longer though as most of the herons that are still lingering are out of here by the end of October as they head for a winter home along the warmer coasts of the US and waterways as far south as the Caribbean.
I consider street photo one of the most difficult styles of photography as your subject is constantly changing. You are not capturing a bridge or a river or a colorful fall forest. You are capturing moments from the city, an urban scenery, you are capturing expressions of random people while they are not posing for you, people doing their every day thing. So quite often I am trying to focus on something static on the street, something that caught my eye and then wait until the "right people" get into my frame. I think I got lucky on this one, as it felt like these 2 guys were just leaving the area after not finding what they were looking for (404 error, web administrators may get the joke). Κατα τη γνωμη μου η φωτογραφια δρομου ειναι ισως το πιο δυσκολο ειδος φωτογραφίας καθως το θεμα σου αλλαζει συνεχως. Δεν φωτογραφιζεις μια γεφυρα, ενα ποταμι η ενα πολυχρωμο δασος το φθινοπωρο. Στη φωτογραφια δρομου το θεμα ειναι οι στιγμες σε μια πολη, ενα αστικο σκηνικο, οι εκφρασεις τυχαιων ανθρωπων που ομως δεν ποζαρουν για σενα, τυχαιοι ανθρωποι που κανουν καποιες κινησεις ρουτινας. Ετσι συχνα προσπαθω να εστιασω σε κατι στατικο, σε κατι που τραβηξε την προσοχη μου και επειτα να περιμενω μεχρι οι "σωστοι ανθρωποι" να μπουν στο καδρο μου. Νομιζω σταθηκα αρκετα τυχερος εδω αφου οι 2 αυτοι τυποι εμοιαζαν να απομακρυνονται απο την περιοχη αφου δεν βρηκαν αυτο που εψαχναν (σφαλμα 404, οι web admins μαλλον θα πιασουν το αστειο). Η φωτογραφια τραβηχτηκε στην περιοχη Little Five points στην Atlanta της πολιτειας της Georgia.

On this day where my wife and I went antiquing through a whole series of shops this store at the end of the day was the most nicest and impressive of the bunch and unlike such stores several decades ago or in Europe today to some degree you can see with most American antique dealers these days it's a very heavy emphasis on Americana and not European items such as fancy chandeliers, vases or statues of cherubs which are considered as just tacky and gaudy by most younger buyers and just don't sell much anymore.
Redundant locomotives of Norfolk Southern parked at Roanoke, VA on long term storage. What is noticeable is the majority of these are EMDs. Hotel Roanoke is seen at the distance.

“Record Store UK” was a nationwide event that was scheduled for the 18th April but obviously didn’t go ahead.
There is great interest nowadays in vinyl records, cassette tapes and other means of recording music that had been thought of as being largely defunct and this has spawned a wealth of smaller, independent retailers dealing in them.
Vinyl Attraction in Newark had not been opened long and suddenly had to close again due to the lockdown. The window is always very interesting, with many discs and memorabilia featuring many groups and names from my youth, even some records that I actually owned.
The event is put back to June and, as yet, no news as to if it will actually happen.

We love when our cone flowers bloom, as the Bumblebees come to forge the pollen. However, bumblebee's do not store food for long periods the same as honey bees, although they do have temporary nectar stores.

One of the joys of putzing around the countryside is to observe what farmers do with cars, tractors, farm equipment and other entities like the snow covered boat that are not needed for months on end. I noticed on our farm that often a "temporary" parking spot for old equipment many times became a permanent home even though the intention was only to store it by the barn until Spring.

This photo was taken in 1980 with a Pentax K1000 and a SMC Pentax-M 50mm f2. I went to Brussels to visit my dying grandfather. This a corner store on his street.
I have hundreds of slides from that trip. I cleaned them up a bit. So this a pic of that slide with a Sony 7RII and Helios 44-2, extension tubes with the slide on a iPad for the BG lighting.

On our ride yesterday, a civilized 116km, we took a break in Vernonville at the the general store. Unfortunately it was closed, permanently. Still made for a nice shot of Paul, and Ingrid, two super nice people and great riders.

In 1867 Robert McLaughlin built two cutters on his family farm just to the west of Tyrone. Shortly after he founded the McLaughlin Carriage Works, which grew to be the largest carriage maker in the British Empire.
In 1880 there were about 300 people living in the village. There were three stores and a mill.
