As this picture makes clear, the store is much more modern that would be expected of one built in the 70s! That's because the store was very comprehensively remodeled and expanded in 2012, turning it from a smaller, grocery-less store into a full-line (extra-large, in fact) Fred Meyer store with everything you'd expect from a brand-new hypermarket.
However, even that's over-simplifying the history of this place. The original store was built as a general-merchandise-only Fred Meyer long after they had largely abandoned that format in favor of true hypermarkets, with both grocery and general merchandise, because of an adjacent grocery store, over towards where the garden center is in this picture. That store was built in 1966 as a Lucky store (no clue whether it was affiliated with any of the various grocery chains of that name or something local), and operated under various brands over the years. It's last tenant was Greenwood Market, an upscale grocery store owned by the local Town and Country Markets chain. The two stores coexisted for a while, but I'm sure Fred Meyer was never super happy to be redirecting business to another store, especially with this being one of the last GM-only stores in the chain. Eventually, in the late 2000s, they managed to convince their landlord to kick Greenwood Market out. Of course, that was not without controversy, as the "fancy people" of Greenwood (I'm sure you can tell what I mean there) couldn't bear to lose their higher-end grocery store... Oh well, they're all shopping at the (fairly high end) Fred Meyer these days! But even that's not quite the end of the story! In the mid 2000s, the block to the east was partially redeveloped with fancy new retail and housing developments. Fred Meyer (and/or its landlord) originally wanted to extend this across the street to the Fred Meyer property, completely replacing the two stores and parking lot with new mixed-use buildings of their own, including an all-new (and mostly underground, strangely enough) Fred Meyer store. Here's their conceptual design from the redevelopment attempt. Of course, the late 2000s weren't exactly the best time to propose a large new real estate development, and the plan eventually died, being scaled back into the expanded stand-alone Fred Meyer of today. In today's Seattle housing market, I'm sure they're kicking themselves for cancelling the project, and the store is slowly but surely being surrounded by the mid-rise mixed-use buildings that they had originally proposed. There are at least three similar cancelled mixed-use retail redevelopment proposals I can think of in Seattle... such a missed opportunity, with how scarce housing (and land in general) is in this area these days.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: This dress is very similar to the JC Penney Elsa gown I've had for years. The main difference is that it is more detailed. It has a beautiful snowflake print on the sheer layer over the dress. It's not that easy to see in a photograph though. Disney Store clothes are usually very detailed, but not made with the most durable of fabrics. This, like many other ensembles in my collection, is designed from a thin satin. I'm surprised that it isn't ripped or fraying anywhere--for that I'm grateful. I would have bought Miss Elsa in the nude anyways, especially since I already owned a doll-less JC Penney ensemble. But I was over the moon to find my doll still donning her dress. She wasn't in the most pristine condition by any means, but it was very appreciated that she had not been outfit swapped with another doll. I think this shade of teal/blue looks stunning with Elsa's icy blonde hair and her super pale skin. While I love Anna's signature outfit too, I think I might like Elsa's a hair more (even though it is only one piece). I will say that this outfit is far more interesting than my Mattel Elsa's getup. Of course she has a molded top and only a cheap removable skirt, so it's easy to beat that. I like that the Disney Store hasn't adopted the molded clothes trend that Mattel and Hasbro seem to be keen for.
EWS-liveried DB Cargo Class 90, 90 032, sits in one of the storage lines at Crewe Electric depot - where it has been now for over 14 years (since February 2004).

Not entry as usual, so the best photo I could get.
37216 at the rear was stored December 2004 and sold to EMR Kingsbury in 2007 arriving there in June.
Instead of scrapping, she was sold into preservation at Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway and after initially working 2007 to 2011 is still undergoing restoration again in 2025.
37409 at the front was built by English Electric (Works No. E3530) and released into traffic on 04/03/1965 as D6970.
Renumbered under TOPS to 37270 it was rebuilt with ETH in September 1985 and renumbered again to 37409.
Stored at Motherwell on 6 March 2003, it was allocated to Toton in May 2007 and put up for sale.
Sold initially to Bo'ness Railway and moved there on 5 march 2008 and then bought by DRS 6 months later on 19 September.
It was moved 3 days later from Bo'ness Railway to Barrow Hill and its engine re-started for the first time in 6 years on 23 December 2009.

In the past if you wanted to buy a raincoat in a department store, you went inside and there was a rack of raincoats.
The assistant came over and checked your size, if there was not the correct on on the rack, they would then go and look at the items in the stock room and see if one was there. If not they will ask if you would like them to order one for you.

Today you can go into a department store and try and find a coat. Instead of all the coats in one place, they are grouped with all types of clothing by brand.
There might be an assistant, but they are only in charge of their own brand, if they do not have anything in your size, that's it, you will not get much more help.
I would have liked to buy a new raincoat this year, but even going into three shops, I have not been able to find one in my size or the design I want.
The lower coats on the right are the ones I am looking for - must learn more about Time Travel.
Former Creative Hobbies retail store, warehouse and offices on Route 73 at the Mt. Laurel-Evesham NJ border, opened in December 1978. Creative Hobbies was a chain of mainly mall stores which they supplied from here. The front portion was a retail store, in the back was their warehouse and headquarters. The building retains its original look, now housing a tile and marble business.

Well the last time I went to a Lego store was the summer of 2008 in downtown Chicago on vacation. So now that there is one that is a little closer to my house (close being 2.5 hours) and now that we have a decent running car I finally got to the Lego store!
I mostly just got a lot of brown plates for my 457th build
Gray because I use that a lot in builds and just some random stuff.
I got Mace Windu's starfighter, more series 5 minifigs, pick a brick bag, and a brick separator. Pretty good trip!
I paid for this all myself so don't think I'm a spoiled brat or anything
Not Cindy like I first thought. A ton of scratches on this one too. I got rid of most of them but it still looks scratched up at the original size. I guess slides are very susceptible to damage when they aren't stored in a slide tray.
For those of you wondering where the whole flavored coffee drink plague started, look no further. The very first Starbucks opened in 1971 at Seattle’s own Pike Place Market. Here, a street band entertains in front of store-1 while soon-to-be coffee quaffers stand in a long line in hopes of obtaining there favorite, glorious hot brew.
