This bridge is something I've been meaning to take shots of for a while. It is part of the drive out to visit the in-laws. The land goes from flat to a drop here... this being the valley over a river, and truly there is some spectacular scenery. I still have not achieved what I want, I really want some shots from the other side of the bridge looking toward where I stood & beyond as it is quite a wonderful sight. Too... when I do make time to properly shoot this bridge there are some fabulous old abandoned farm buildings down this road that I want to visit with my camera.
I found out today too that My Mother-in-law also wants to take photos of these same buildings as does my eldest son, so, we three shall have to make a 'date' of this sometime!

White Balance on Flash
This is my standard, auto, walking-around setting on my camera. (The programmed, U1 setting on the dial.) Shutter priority at 1/125th because that seems fast enough to “freeze” most action on the trails (more speed is just is thumb flick away) and max aperture because it’s usually dark(er) under the leaf canopy. ISO is on auto (of course). I keep the polarizer on to take the shine off the leaves and —because it’s always shady — I put the white balance on “Flash”. (I like the tones better than “Shade” or “Cloudy”.)
Straight out of the camera. I don’t process my pictures (normally). Hence the JPEGs.
