Then again, people close to me call me "crazy".

Rocky Hill Inn and One 53

These were taken tonight with my DIY IR remote and DSLR.bot. As I mentioned in the [post](khurt.tumblr.com/post/24282020857/i-borrowed-a-friends-ni...), the DSLR.bot software has a minimum shutter speed of 0.3 second. This makes it challenging for day light HDR photography. This however, works out well for night time HDR. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll walk down to the Princeton Boathouse for another attempt at using the DIY IR.

Lipton’s Seat

Lipton’s seat is one of the attractive observation points of Sri Lankan Tourism. It is located on the top of the Poonagala hill near the Dambetenna tea factory in Poonagala, Sri lanka. The place gets this name after the famous tea planter Sir Thomas Lipton used this place to survey the surrounding region of his tea plantations.

To reach the place you have to climb about 7 km through rich tea plantations. Some parts of the roads are still not repaired since British built them. Therefore the original stone constructions are abided. From the Lipton’s view you can entertain and have a conspicuous view of the Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Eastern provinces including 7 districts.

If you are capable enough to travel there on a clear day it will be breath taking. In wanting to be entertained by the entire site, early morning will be fantastic as the mist sets in. Lipton’s seat is a panoramic overlooking destination in Sri lanka. Handapanagala lake, Chandrika lake, Uda walwe lake, Wedi hiti Kanda mountains, and also the hambanthota harbor located in the in the southern coastal area can be seen remarkably.

Firstly you have to select the route either Bandarawela via Nayabedda estate or Haputale via Dambetenna Tea estate. Both the routes are fully fledged with lots of gorgeous outlooks, amid with pure green lush green plantations. For a broader and clear over looking, it is recommended to arrive before 10.00am to the Lipton’s seat.

trusted myself enough to walk around at lunch today. wanted to take a fotolunch yesterday to burn off some steam, but wasn't entirely sure I wouldn't walk right to the cigarette counter to buy some smokes.

Today is the third day with no smokes for me and jen. No one has been hurt or killed.

Spending only 10 minutes with each professor, similar to both the opening fair at a major research conference and undergraduate office hours, the students learned the latest research on general surgery from an Executive Director of Surgery at one of the largest health systems in the world, learn about being on the footsteps of curing brain cancer from a neurosurgeon, the latest physics on particles, whether quantum theory yields hints to our ability to age, and whether our world is nearing an apocalypse. It mirrors the rapid-fire format, diversity, and prestige of the kind of conference University Presidents and world leaders attend, yet forges a new path on collaboration, research accessibility, and special education – a new form of volunteerism at the University of California.

When pig's dig wallow they make one big enough to accomodate their whole body profile. The hog that made this one is estimated to be about 90kg. This and the last wallow are just two of hundreds we found inside the 5km by 5km paddock- and many were less than half a day old.
