Although I have one more shot to post that was taken on this trip to Elk Island National Park, this is the last shot where colour and light are foremost and center.
50-50 splits where water and reflections are concerned can certainly make some interesting symmetrical shapes. In this shot taken from the Living Waters Boardwalk at Elk island I thought that the shapes created were interesting mainly because of the simplicity. The way I see it we basically have just a rectangle and a circle. Two clicks to the best fine details.
Tomorrow a portrait shot of the only large mammal I encountered.

The night sky, with the North Star and the Big Dipper, the Little Dipper, Cassiopeia and Perseus in a one hour long exposure.
In retrospect I should have shot several shorter exposures instead of a single very long one. Cleaning up hot pixels would have been a lot less work.

One last photo opportunity for the G’s at Quincy. An eastbound rack train slowly rolls by the vintage signals. The mounts and replacements are on site, and these Type G signals will soon go dark forever.
Another busy day today so a well earned beer this evening, just the one though as that's all that's left in the fridge.

The bosses shut the office early today as they're trying to avoid a visit by the three spirits of Christmas so I stopped off on the way home to shoot some of London's landmarks with my trusy old GF2. Here's a view of St Paul's Cathedral from the One New Change shopping/office building.
