Glyptotek

Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in the heart of Copenhagen displays ancient and modern art in truly unique surroundings.

Founded in 1888 by the brewer Carl Jacobsen (1842-1914), the art museum contains two main departments combining art in impressive architectural surroundings.

The Department of Antiquities houses excellent collections of Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman art, providing a delightful stroll through 3500 years of art and history.

One of the mob of Starlings that mugged me on my last visit to Hyde Park.

One of the many nicknames for the Red-headed Woodpecker is the "Flying Checkerboard," due to its bold red, white and inky blue/black color patterns. Once a very common bird in eastern North America, these birds are in population decline, and are now uncommon in many areas, so I felt fortunate on a recent day to see and capture a photo of this one.

Twenty-One: My favorite number since youth. So I will stand here at this place on 21. in summer 2020. Somehow interesting that it will be my first day next year on the island. Fate? Luck? Intuition?

Whatever...

The evening was long

My guesses were true

You saw me see you

That something you said

The timing was right

The pleasure was mine

The time and the place

The look on your face

Sincerest of eyes

If you're ready or not

The state of our hearts

There's no time to take

When we started

Both brokenhearted

Not believing

It could begin and end in one evening

We were caught by the light

Held on to the day

Till it became hours

The minutes went by

The cab is outside

There's no time to take

When we parted

Moving on

And believing

It could begin and end in one evening

Thank you, my dear friends, for all your comments and favs!

Because you are all these things and more. This song is dedicated to you not only for it's beautiful lyrics but for the memories also attached to it. Looking forward to all the adventures that await us...

One

You're like a dream come true

Two

Just want to be with you

Three

Boy, it's plain to see

That you're the only one for me

And four

Repeat steps one through three

Five

Make you fall in love with me

If ever I believe my work is done

Then I'll start back at one...

I am forever grateful for photos and the memories they can etch into your mind and heart.

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, WYOMING

Listen: one - Tina Dico

one

one touch can fill a life of longing

not much is so much more than nothing

yeah, all you need is

one

an open smile to win you over

one single step will bring you closer

yeah all it takes is one

and when you’re running for cover

and you feel the sky falling down upon you

and when it feels like forever

since you’ve seen the face of someone who loves you

then one is all that you need

all that you need to keep you warm

is all that you need

all that you need to move you on

it’s all that you need

all you need is

one

one word to fill a room of silence

a hand to offer you some guidance

yeah all you need is

one

a moment long enough to notice

that everything’s stepped into focus

yeah, all it takes is one

and when you’ve running from questions

and it seems like uncertainty controls you

and when you looking for answers

in the eyes of somebody who knows you

then one is all that you need

all that you need to keep you warm

all that you need

all that you need to move you on

is all that you need

all that you need to get you home

all that you need

all you need is one

One Life" Challenge.

Look to the sky

Don't ever let it pass you by

You've got to live it while you can

We only get one life

In one of our walks I met this small mushroom that seemed to be born on a stone. While approaching I verified that actually it was growing in what we supposed that it would be some type of excrement of an animal. Any place is good to survive, I suppose...

This shot is from a few years ago. This beautiful one legged Blue Jay came around all winter long. Trying to catch them to possibly help them can cause more stress and this one could fly just fine so catching would have been almost impossible anyway. Life is harder for a bird like this so I tried to make each day a bit easier by providing plenty of accessible food and fresh water. He/she came here every day to eat and drink for months then at some point in March, I never saw it again.

My apple trees have been given another season, I'm expecting a tree surgeon next week to tell me what can be done for them, if anything.

Every year I find it so very difficult to say good-bye to Autumn, my favorite season. I just have to post this shot for one more look ...

THANKS
