Glyptotek
Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in the heart of Copenhagen displays ancient and modern art in truly unique surroundings.
Founded in 1888 by the brewer Carl Jacobsen (1842-1914), the art museum contains two main departments combining art in impressive architectural surroundings.
The Department of Antiquities houses excellent collections of Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman art, providing a delightful stroll through 3500 years of art and history.
Framed with the most beautiful eye lashes... Kasanga!! Close up of (one of ) Kasanga's eyes taken at Big Cat Sanctuary. He's a very tolerant gentleman!!
The evening was long
My guesses were true
You saw me see you
That something you said
The timing was right
The pleasure was mine
The time and the place
The look on your face
Sincerest of eyes
If you're ready or not
The state of our hearts
There's no time to take
When we started
Both brokenhearted
Not believing
It could begin and end in one evening
We were caught by the light
Held on to the day
Till it became hours
The minutes went by
The cab is outside
There's no time to take
When we parted
Moving on
And believing
It could begin and end in one evening
“Looking up, I observed one solitary leaf that remained on a spindly branch of an old oak tree. And as winter’s frigid winds blew against it twisting it this way and that, I thought that it was either committed to holding on as long as it could or it was afraid to let go.”

I don’t know what our day is like tomorrow
But I feel like you’re packing away to leave
To somewhere far from me
And I’m scared that you’ll find somebody better
Just your type and without the anxiety
Cause how could I compete
Do you mind
If we dance
Follow me, feel the beat, take my hand
For one last dance
For one last dance
Sleepless nights, pointless fights just end with heartache
You know I tried so don’t know why you rather walk away
I’m begging you to stay (stay with me)
And I know you just need some more love and attention
For you I shall give you my all
So baby take my hand I’ll take you for a dance
So do you mind
If we dance
Follow me, feel the beat, take my hand
For one last dance
For one last dance
If you left and moved on would you act like we never met
Would it hurt less if we just forget?
So would you mind (would you mind)
If we dance (if we dance)
Follow me, feel the beat, take my hand
For one last dance
For one last dance
So would you mind
If we dance
Follow me, feel the beat, take my hand
For one last dance
One last dance
One last dance

Because you are all these things and more. This song is dedicated to you not only for it's beautiful lyrics but for the memories also attached to it. Looking forward to all the adventures that await us...
One
You're like a dream come true
Two
Just want to be with you
Three
Boy, it's plain to see
That you're the only one for me
And four
Repeat steps one through three
Five
Make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I'll start back at one...
And its reflection….
The Looking Close on Friday’s theme is “one marble”. Am so glad I kept this one when I was gifted with a set.. which I passed along.

Another shot of this lone tree near Oatlands, central Tasmania. This time with my 7D - the previous shot was with my 5DmkIII - coupled with a 400mm lens, you can really see the difference between full frame and cropped sensors (400mm vs 640mm effective focal length!). I prefer this version - I should use my 7D more.

This one is a special photo of a special place (to me). It's one of the last, if not the last one show, that took place at Cinemarian, an old school cinephile corner here in Athens, before its forced relocation. A lovely small little place with lots of character, in the heart of Athens, special for artists, filmmakers, cinephiles and photographers. So long dear old Cinemarian. Thank you for saving the last dance for me...
PS. The photo on the screen is from a friend, Costas Giavis, and the shooting took place during the presentation of his lovely work.

Les montagnes de Long Range, la plus septentrionale des Appalaches, contiennent de nombreux fjords sculptés par les glaciers. L’un des plus spectaculaires est le plus grand lac du parc, l’étang Western Brook. an instance of one of our many pass road crossings during our round trip around Iceland. This pass road crosses one of the mountain ranges flanking Iceland's Westfjords and the compacted snow to the right gives an idea about the amount of snow coming down here and what struggle it must be to keep these roads usable during the long winter month!
This shot is from a few years ago. This beautiful one legged Blue Jay came around all winter long. Trying to catch them to possibly help them can cause more stress and this one could fly just fine so catching would have been almost impossible anyway. Life is harder for a bird like this so I tried to make each day a bit easier by providing plenty of accessible food and fresh water. He/she came here every day to eat and drink for months then at some point in March, I never saw it again.
