The bosses shut the office early today as they're trying to avoid a visit by the three spirits of Christmas so I stopped off on the way home to shoot some of London's landmarks with my trusy old GF2. Here's a view of St Paul's Cathedral from the One New Change shopping/office building.

Every morning, I chop the ice in the local river so that the Heron's and Kingfisher can capture a meal or two. This Kingfisher bit off more than he could swallow.
While the image suffers from low light, I decided to post it for its' story-telling value.

Standing by this lake, don't know the name yet. There is a boat launch and it is just outside the developed area of Elliot Lake.
This bridge is something I've been meaning to take shots of for a while. It is part of the drive out to visit the in-laws. The land goes from flat to a drop here... this being the valley over a river, and truly there is some spectacular scenery. I still have not achieved what I want, I really want some shots from the other side of the bridge looking toward where I stood & beyond as it is quite a wonderful sight. Too... when I do make time to properly shoot this bridge there are some fabulous old abandoned farm buildings down this road that I want to visit with my camera.
I found out today too that My Mother-in-law also wants to take photos of these same buildings as does my eldest son, so, we three shall have to make a 'date' of this sometime!
