Who cares if one more light goes out?
In a sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
We're quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do
This is "Alamanou" stone bridge. It was built in April of 1858 on a location called "the grand stream", a few km away from the small town of Agia towards the coastline of Thessaly (Greece).
Wow! One Hundred Years has just become my 99th photo in Flickr Explore.....out by one, should've been #100 for pure poetic justice!
Thanks Everyone!
ONE HUNDRED YEARS
My grandfather (Pop) was born on 16th March 1915 - one hundred years ago today.
In the first photograph he is taking his self-portrait whilst stationed in India & Burma during WWII. The inscription on the back says:
"In the bungalow after dark. Slightly underexposed, but only an experiment.
How's about that Dave?"
The second photo was taken some time in 1967, probably during the summer as I have a suntan on my legs.
Third photograph is me, continuing the tradition of the selfie into the 21st century...
.....on the Cromarty Coast. Love being up early before sunrise at this time of year. Not too early but early enough that everyone is asleep and the only sounds are the wind, sea and birds.
This was a super rare chance to see the original deco-esque paintings that Crowley created with artist Harris reflected his own dark weird take on the deck based around his self created magick religion Thoth. The kind of work you would never expect to see in Venice which is what made it so inspiring.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FAVES
ON THE REACTIONS I WILL TRY TO RESPOND BACK
