Who cares if one more light goes out?
In a sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
We're quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do
This is "Alamanou" stone bridge. It was built in April of 1858 on a location called "the grand stream", a few km away from the small town of Agia towards the coastline of Thessaly (Greece).
Wow! One Hundred Years has just become my 99th photo in Flickr Explore.....out by one, should've been #100 for pure poetic justice!
Thanks Everyone!
ONE HUNDRED YEARS
My grandfather (Pop) was born on 16th March 1915 - one hundred years ago today.
In the first photograph he is taking his self-portrait whilst stationed in India & Burma during WWII. The inscription on the back says:
"In the bungalow after dark. Slightly underexposed, but only an experiment.
How's about that Dave?"
The second photo was taken some time in 1967, probably during the summer as I have a suntan on my legs.
Third photograph is me, continuing the tradition of the selfie into the 21st century...

This was a super rare chance to see the original deco-esque paintings that Crowley created with artist Harris reflected his own dark weird take on the deck based around his self created magick religion Thoth. The kind of work you would never expect to see in Venice which is what made it so inspiring.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FAVES
ON THE REACTIONS I WILL TRY TO RESPOND BACK

This shot was taken in our back yard. Mother ducks bring their young to our ponds (back yard) for food and security..
That wonderful shoe shop in Melbourne... these were Di's favourite (didn't buy) and I'm sure www.flickr.com/photos/27940925@N07/ will love them too!
You can see my reflection.... :-)
HWW and HBW!
The African buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is a large sub-Saharan African bovine.
There is only one species of buffalo in Africa but four distinct subspecies exist: forest buffalo, West African savanna buffalo, Central African buffalo, and southern savanna buffalo (also known as the Cape buffalo).
Savanna buffaloes are large, heavy cow-like animals. They vary greatly not only in size but in the shapes of their horns and their coloring. Adults are usually dark gray or black (or even look red or white if they have been wallowing in mud of that color) and the young are often reddish-brown.
Both males and females have heavy, ridged horns that grow straight out from the head or curve downward and then up. The horns are formidable weapons against predators and are used when jostling for space within the herd; males use the horns in fights for dominance.
This Buffalo with one horn missing, most likely from a fight with other males in the herd fighting over dominance, was photographed during a photography safari on an early morning game drive in Nairobi National Park, Kenya.
Shot at dawn with an ebbing tide, so there was lots of lovely wet rock.
