I have a bad habit of buying cookbooks, so my New Year's resolution is to attempt to make a new recipe every week.

Put your guns to work--get some game and get it ready for the table. This vintage cookbook by the Remington company has recipes (including butchering and carcass prep) for EVERYTHING, including Raccoons.

I didn't even know you could eat raccoons. Squirrels, yes. But Raccoon Pot Pie? Come on!

I'm on the road right now, so will post more publishing information later. If I can scan the recipes for the raccoon dishes without wrecking the spine, I'll post them ASAP.
