DJ’s cookbook has a well-organized contents. Some are listed by the time of day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, etc. This is a sample image from the breakfast chapter.
All sample images you will see are slightly on the brighter side. DJ requested for that. He found that when Kinkos made the prints, the images seemed darker. Therefore he wanted me to make them a bit brighter.

There are plenty of gems in this cookbook. In fact, I do refer to it from time to time when I'm curious about more traditional preparation of recipes. This cookbook is divided by international cuisines (Chinese, British, US, French, Japanese, Scandinavia, etc) so I can only imagine it was quite chic back in the days.
This is a recipe for sultana scones in the British food chapter. Notice the measuring unit for milk. Gills! I had to google: A unit of volume or capacity, used in dry and liquid measure, equal to 1/4 of a British Imperial pint (142 milliliters). Learn something new.
