Size comparison with Soom LG ( MSD sized doll). All 3 sizes of miniature manga I offer can be seen in this photo.
For MSD sized dolls I prefer small and middel sized ones :)
Photos (NOT handheld shots) for comparison of the Nikkor 80-400 VR to the 70-200VR with and without the TC-20EII teleconverter. I have uploaded original full size photos for various focal lengths and apertures of each lens, along with two different crops of each photo.
All photos are unedited other than cropping.
The lens, focal length, and aperture data for each photo are given in the filenames.
All photos were taken with a Nikon D200 sitting on a stable piano bench approximately 8 feet from the feather, which was taped to a wall and sticking out horizontally into the air at about the same level as the camera, and roughly perpendicular to the camera's line of sight.
Auto focus was used to focus on the middle of the narrow blue stripe just to the left (in these photos) of the dark eye.
ISO was 100.
VR was off.
Mirror lockup and the default mirror lockup timed shutter release were used to prevent camera shake.
Illumination was from an SB800 flash mounted on the camera in TTL mode.
Spot metering was used.
This is another example of what the Photoshop auto-levels function will do. It is a simple process:
1. Open the picture in Photoshop (or other)
2. click: Image/Adjust/AutoLevels
That's it. Save in a renamed file so you will have both versions.
I combined the original and finished version to demonstrate the difference.

Another Camera Comparison!
This time I was comparing the macro capabilities of the three cameras. The lens I used on the two Canons was a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM.
Even though the Sony CyberShot has a macro setting when you get close enough to create the same scene as I did with the other cameras, the camera is too close to the figure to be able to focus on the figure's face.

68cm Mirodoll: The hand on the left is the original "shovel" hand from Mirodoll and the one on the right is the Soom Mecha Angel hand I bought. I left one of each to show off the difference in the two hands.
66cm Mirodoll: The hand on the left is Soom and the hand on the right is Mirodoll.
I LOVE the Soom hands on the 68cm body! Only sad part is that the 68cm and the 66cm had two different shades of normal skin when they arrived together, and the Soom hands match the pinker 66cm better, lol. Ah well~
Just posting an image here to show someone, comparing shiny to no-shiny.
Everything with a shiny surface here has the lowest setting and it still looks like chrome. I really wish SL had lower settings for shiny surfaces.
I flew into Los Angeles to attend the WonderCon (comic con) in Anaheim. I had some free time so I spent it watching planes at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This is one of the busiest airports in the world and it has a great mix of aircraft - domestic and international, smaller aircraft to the biggies. and it was very busy. Thanks to the people that told me the best spotting areas!
