I think we're due for another change.

Totally didn't realize that I didn't upload my box opening + comparisons onto Flickr.

Eyes are somewhat difficult to position.

Almost all of SPG's plates exhibit some damage. Very few are quite so badly damaged as this one, but there was a relatively quick and easy way to fix this particular image. First, take a look at the two sceenshots ("Before" and "After" essentially).

Note that the damage is all one colour (blue) which means that it is only the red plate which is problematic. To fix it, what I did was copy the same area of the image from the green plate to the red plate (while both were still grayscale TIFFs of course) and then paste it in. When you paste in a selection like this, it automatically goes onto its own layer. Make sure that is the only layer that is highlighted in the layers palette, zoom in a bit, and then gradually and carefully adjust the brightness and contrast so as to match, as closely as you can, the new selection with the values of the existing red plate. When it looks like it's a good match, flatten the image, and you now have a repaired red plate.

KEEP IN MIND, however, that the colour will not be a perfect match, because the bit you are pasting in was originally shot through a different filter; and that section of the final image will never have really good colour. But it will be reasonably okay colour, and that's something. On this particular plate the method works well because the area to be repaired is not coloured – it's white. I've used the method on a couple of other plates, and while it's never as good as having the original image, it works reasonably well, and the colours can be adjusted once you're working on a flattened, full-colour plate, so that they look fairly good.

Once that's done, simply layer and adjust the colours as you would in aligning any other image.

Clock Tower: Remothered looks terrible. The original was good, even though it was a horror game! The characters had personality, it had good graphics, it wasn't bloody, it wasn't too scary, the plot was excellent, and the antagonists were portrayed as truly evil (making it a game about good defeating evil). Remothered has none of these qualities. Apparently, it will be bloody, disgusting, violent, and will deviate from the plot in numerous ways. For example, a werewolf, a ghost, and several other stupid cliche "horrors" will be added into a plot that has no room for them. Mary Barrows (who, if you play the game right, is supposed to be revealed as evil at the VERY END) will chase you around constantly.

Contrast: jeans and sneakers next to a slipper and tights worn by an actor performing in the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero in San Francisco.

Comparisons at same scale for matching body height, it is fairly clear that the original design is far too short in the nose (top). I've extended the front by 2 studs (bottom) and it is much closer (though I think it could extend out even further if I could get the angle of the nose to be sharper).

In a frame from the Weigmans film, Doorman is in a different pose in the center of the doorway. There is a dark shadow cutting off his right side of body and in between him and the Black man against the wall, there is a shadowy figure.

Last Monday (August 2) Mr Chiots and I finally found our way to Monticello after wanting to go for years. We were wondering how we’d like it, after going to Longwood Gardens several times, most other gardens pale in comparison. The main part of Monticello I’ve really been wanting to see is the vegetable garden. It’s quite impressive in photos and I must say, it’s equally impressive in person, I was not disappointed.

Purple lights are from Wii sensor bar. Other lights are from other electronics.

This is a comparison between my two lenses, both at full aperture. The difference is evident if you look in large size.

However the rendition of the cheaper lens (CCTV) is very nice for its shallow depth of field, the softer definition and the losing of details off of center.

I use it as an "effects lens".

Gardening is a great way for a woman without much of a body to develop a soul.

This comparison isn't 100% fair, as the yellow Mordles look better in hand than on camera.

A comparison of different aperture settings for macro work. As the f stop value increases (smaller aperture) tou get more DOF but eventually run into diffraction problems leading to a loss of detail.

Had to see if my fav TBL body (S07C) could rock the same jeans as Erica. Answer: Yes, yes it can. Though Erica's was much easier to put on thanks to not being a seamless body and being smooth plastic.
