comparing mobile phone auto night shot (6 sec. long expos. ) and Dslr manual (4 sec. L. expos. ),(both hand held no tripod) problem with DSLR, things look much brighter on its compact screen till you enlarge ( deceiving)
strangely wiith the phone camera, a speed boat passed while taking the shot but still captured no movement ,

... one needs knowledge, a set of skills, good training and a sense of responsibility when getting gas pipes into the ground and making sure that energy arrives at people's homes. This is what we would expect, of course. However, and by comparison, you don't need any of these qualities if you want to become the British Prime Minister. Actually, the moral and intellectual requirements are so refreshingly low these days that any pig having its snout firmly in the trough could apply. And they did. Fuji X-E2 plus Helios 44M-7 at F11.
With this photo of the famous water castle, we now say goodbye to the warehouse district in Hamburg.
I once again really enjoyed the visit (it was my third) and found a few insights and perspectives that had previously escaped me. And it certainly wasn't my last visit here.
By the way, this is the second photo from the sunset, when I was waiting here for the colorful sky and illuminated buildings to come together.
As you can see, thick clouds moved in shortly after picture number 1, which unfortunately ruined the plan.
Nature cannot be planned and that is a good thing.
If you compare both photos you can also see that the water level is rising again. The small watercourse on the right is significantly wider here than in the photo I took before.

Mit diesem Foto vom berühmten Wasserschloss verabschieden wir uns nun auch von der Speicherstadt in Hamburg.
Ich habe den Besuch wieder einmal sehr genossen (es war mein Dritter) und ein paar Einblicke und Blickwinkel gefunden, die mir bisher entgangen waren. Und es war mit Sicherheit nicht mein letzter Besuch hier.
Das ist übrigens das zweite Foto vom dem Sonnenuntergang, als ich hier auf das Zusammentreffen von einem farbigen Himmel und erleuchteten Gebäuden gewartet hatte.
Wie ihr seht sind kurz nach Bild Nr. 1 dicke Wolken herein gezogen, die den Plan leider zunichte gemacht haben.
Natur lässt sich eben nicht planen und das ist auch gut so.
Außerdem kann man sehen, wenn man beide Foto vergleicht, dass der Wasserspiegel gerade wieder steigt. Der kleine Wasserlauf auf der rechten Seite ist hier nämlich schon deutlich breiter als auch dem Foto, welches ich zuvor gemacht hatte.

Bei einem Negativ mit optimalem Kontrastumfang (hier 1,11 logD) spielt die Wirkungsweise des Positiventwicklers keine entscheidende Rolle.
Die als „richtig“ empfundenen Tonwerte können bei Multigrade-Papieren allein durch den Gradationsfilter bestimmt werden, denn es bleiben ja in beide Richtungen (weicher oder härter) noch alle Möglichkeiten der Anpassung, sei es aus persönlichem Geschmack, oder Schwächen des verwendeten Papiers.
Die Entwickler SE1 SEPIA und SE6 BLUE unterscheiden sich sowohl im Bildton, als auch geringfügig im Kontrast. Mehr Auswahlmöglichkeiten braucht es eigentlich nicht.
Um bei der Haarspalterei zu einem Ende zu kommen, trotzdem nochmals ein Vergleich mit DOKUMOL und ECOMOL.
Papier Fomabrom Variant 112 (matt)
Aus physikalischen Gründen haben matte Papiere (nach der Trocknung) eine geringere Maximalschwärzung als die glänzenden Oberflächen und damit zwngsläufig einen geringeren Kontrastumfang.

Die ganze Testerei hat Erkenntnisgewinn gebracht, ob daraus ein neues Produkt entsteht, ist eine schwierige Entscheidung. Wäre ich FDP-Sympathisant, könnte ich argumentieren, „der Markt wird’s richten“, doch der Markt ist ein launisches Wesen und könnte mir den Stinkefinger zeigen – nicht unwahrscheinlich in der heutigen Zeit.
With a negative with an optimal contrast range (here 1.11 logD), the mode of action of the positive developer does not play a decisive role.
With multigrade papers, the tonal values perceived as “correct” can be determined solely by the gradation filter, as all possibilities for adjustment remain in both directions (softer or harder), whether due to personal taste or weaknesses in the paper used.
The developers SE1 SEPIA and SE6 BLUE differ both in image tone and slightly in contrast. More choices are not really necessary.
To put an end to the hair-splitting, here is another comparison with DOKUMOL and ECOMOL.

All the testing has provided valuable insights, but whether this will result in a new product is a difficult decision. If I were an FDP sympathizer, I could argue that “the market will decide,” but the market is a capricious entity and could show me the finger – not unlikely in today's world.
Compare this with the bald eagle and mocking bird shot. The bald eagle is perched near the front top of the tower. Another is perched about half way down. No one walking the path I was on saw them unless I pointed them out! I love my long lens! I also love my iPhone for getting shots like this one.
Mt Edith Cavell is one of the most recognizable mountains in the Canadian Rockies, since it can be seen from Jasper Township and many viewpoints north of Athabasca Falls.
I highly recommend Cavell Meadows to people up for a moderate hike, to get a closer view of Mt Edith Cavell's impressive north face. Just check road, weather and trail conditions before heading out for the hike.
Mt Edith Cavell is the most prominent mountain (just over 2,000 metres) that is entirely in Alberta. A mountain's prominence is the summit elevation relative to the lowest contour line surrounding the mountain. Most of the ultra prominent mountains in North America are in Alaska. For comparison, only one Colorado mountain has a greater prominence than Edith Cavell.

Leica M Mono, Leitz Elmar 4/135 at F8. Of course, this comparison to the previous image is not straightforward. It is not just a different and much more expensive camera, the lens has a different focal range and is really old (over 60 years). But I do not think that the previous image, done with a "budget combo", is in any way inferior to this one. In fact, when it comes to judging an image as "interesting" or "artistic" I don't think that the question of budget or not plays a role at all.

Kimmeridge bay Dorset on the stunning Jurassic coast. Not a good sunset on this particular day but when the sun popped out for a minute the light highlighted Hen Cliff with the Clavell Tower or Kimmeridge Tower beautifully. The pile of stones found in this position on arrival was an added bonus, maybe put there in homage to the tower? ( at least that's what i'd like to think!)

Bagan, located on the banks of the Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy) River, is home to the largest and densest concentration of Buddhist temples, pagodas, stupas and ruins in the world with many dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. The shape and construction of each building is highly significant in Buddhism with each component part taking on spiritual meaning.
With regards to tour comparison between this immense archeological site and the other significant archeological gem of Southeast Asia, the Angkor sites, this analogy may be helpful:
Angkor ruins are like a Chinese Lauriat banquet where food is presented in spectacular servings with a suspenseful wait between items which are hidden beneath curtains of forests. On the other hand, Bagan is served in Spanish Tapas style, the ingredients exposed to the customer and shown in small bite-size servings, with the next attraction close and visible at hand, in shorter intervals.
Another analogy between Angkor and Bagan Sites when distinguishing temple structures is through their stupa and spire shapes.
What makes the temples look romantic is the process of graceful aging. For some reason, there are no windbreakers around as shown by the barren, desert-dry mountain range to the west past the river, spinning occasional micro twisters that spawn loose dust particles everywhere from the eroded earth to the structures. This phenomenon had peeled off so much the stucco coating of the temples to reveal the brick structural blocks with its rusty, reddish, and sometimes golden brown-like patina when hit by the sun's rays.
Erosion is a significant threat to this area, not only the wind chipping away the buildings' plastering but also water from the mighty Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy) River threatens the riverbanks. The strong river current has already washed away half of the area of Old Bagan. It used to be a rectangular-shaped piece of enclave protected by a perimeter wall. Now what remains is roughly the triangular eastern half part.
Other images of Bagan which make a lasting impression to tourists aside from the spire-fringed skyline; stupas sporting that tumbledown look yet crowned with glitter-studded golden miter-like sikaras; the ubiquitous pair of ferocious stone lions flanking a temple's door; the spiky and lacy eave fascia woodcarvings lining a monastery's ascending tiers of roofs; tall palmyras or toddy palms with willowy trunks, bougainvilleas, exotic cotton trees, and the likes bringing life to the arid landscape and abandoned ruins; squirrels playfully and acrobatically scampering on the walls and pediments of temples; horse drawn carriages lazily carrying drop-jawed tourists; sleepy moving grandfather's bullock carts grinding on a dust-choked trail; not to mention the garbage left around, stray dogs loitering, longyi clad men spitting betel chews in copious amounts everywhere, overgrown weeds and the pestering dust.

The Eden Project in Cornwall, England....Not a secret bunker where aliens are or out of this world experiments take place..... LOL
Here is the website of the The Eden Project. The place is well worth a visit. The Biodome you see here houses all sorts of tropical plants and the temperature in there is very hot. My lense steamed up as soon as I got in there. The other biodome (which is not pictured here but looks exactly the same), has a more mediterranean feeling to it.

Possibly the largest semaphore operation remaining on the Indian metre gauge lines is Pilibhit East Signal Box. Located at the "business" end of the station and controlling routes out to Tanakpur, Mailani Junction and Shajahanpur, as well as a level crossing and access to the carriage sidings and maintenance area, there's rarely an idle moment during the day.
In comparison to boxes in the UK these are pretty rudimentary regards additional technology and what you see is pretty well what you get. Throwing the levers takes some effort too and here the signalman is giving some welly (or rather sandal) returning lever 56 to its normal position.
Catch this while you can - the scene will change forever in a few months when gauge conversion starts in earnest.

White tailed eagle in company off some hooded crows. Now you can see the difference in size,birdwise. But also that the crows are not scared of this mighty eagle who I thought was king :-) and in this picture you can see his white tail..
I plan few heads from few companies and plan to match with diferent bodies.
I have found, that looking at pages each time I think of some match, is very time-consuming.
So I have chosen my fav doll companies and made this pic.
Pictures are not in scale, so some of bodies are biger than others, it was mostly done for a shapes, propotions, hips, chests etc.
But all bodies are over 61 cm.
I did a bit of an "experiment" the other day with my 50mm lens. I haven't been able to get a decent comparison shot of the difference in Dof, and I finally did.
But, for those of you who didn't know, the smaller your aperture (the larger the f number) the clearer the background becomes.

"Camera 35" magazine tested the RC lens to resolve 80+ lines/mm center resolution, from f/5.6 to f/16.
The Canon f/1.4 is considered the "Japanese Summilux." No less an expert than Jonathan Rask said "this lens is the best vintage lens I have ever mounted onto my cameras." In the Canon 7 manual, there are *20* Canon lenses in 11 focal lengths that fit the 7 body. The Canon NEEDS the longer rangefinder baseline to utilize the 85mm and longer lenses.
The RC has both aperture and shutter speed setting visible in the window. It literally weighs so little (for an all metal! camera) that you forget you have it. It has an accessory shoe, the "7" does not.
The 7 only shows the lens focal length (which must be user set) and corrresponding bright-line, but it's the brightest rangefinder window I've personally viewed.
